Well if you see a person who is in their home and their home is on fire, and they are about to be burned alive, how proper should you be. If you tell them they need to get out, and they don't want to listen to you, should you just respect their belief, and let them burn to death. Is that how a proper Christian should behave?
No, you should break a 2x4 over their head and then bum rush them out a window while they try to recover. Then you need to keep on beating them until they are too weak to crawl back into the burning house. This is how a Christian should behave...
That isn't faith, those are demonstrable facts. I can ask you to prove you can walk and talk, and you can prove it. I can ask you to prove god is there (or I can ask god himself if he's there) and neither you nor he can prove it.
The difference is...Christians think of eternal torture in Hell. Many Atheists generally just like to do whatever they want to, and then be nothing more than..ahem...dust in the end. There's no eternal consequence...I like the safe path more. Actually, I don't care if an atheist does that to me, I actually like it, because it gives me an ability to minister to them... (and I think I'm taking that comment too seriously! Me! How did that work? )
But we are extremely concerned that you will waste the only life you'll every have kissing skydaddy's buttocks.
What he said - actully, I don't care what you believe, or who's ass you kiss, so long as it doesn't affect me in a bad way... Just it is a waste of a perfectly good life...
