Cleaned out my closet. It was a hard hard work.....hard to give away the good old stuff.... dropped 2 big bags in the Salvation Army box [IMG]. If clothes are still in decent shape I donate them but some people just toss everything in a bag and let the charity sort through it. I don´t make extra work for people who are voluteering their time. I know "one mans trash is anothers treasure" but I never donate clothes that are stained, dirty, have holes or just look really bad. So I throw away my old, smelly, worn down shoes like those 20!!! yrs old pair [IMG]:

I had ditched those old boots in the regular trash bag together with dirt and other crap that not recycled. I don´t think you can recycle old, worn down boots or shoes.
My question is: Well done or wasteful ?

Sounds well done to me! I never donate clothing with stains or holes either. Usually I'll recycle them by cutting them up and using them as dust cloths, or I use them as scrap material for craft projects. :)

Ok, that was an honest thread. And I don't really want to be mean about it. In my mind it really this isn't that mean.

Chrissy, I'm sure I speak for most when I say that, either way, no one 'really' gives a flying fuck whether it was well done or waste.

When I cleaned out my closet I had tons of clothes that I didnt want and just threw them in the dumpster.. I figure there are people living in dumbsters and I shouldnt just ingore them... Im being serious as well, cause I see people actually going in there and getting things...so I hope they enjoy the 90210 sweatshirts and the acid washed jeans...and Keds...

Sorry but those old boots were really just worthless rubbish. I must double post to say that but I asked my recycling center.
