    Father X
Another letter comes in the mail
    Its stamp is upside down
On purpose, I know you as I know myself
    I can't stand it
I hate how we're so much alike.

    Another phone call,
Your mock-cheery voice on the line
    Oozing sarcasm
    Talking of trivialities
I hate being of your blood.

    Another visit.
Every time you hug me I feel the cigarettes in your pocket
They hurt me, you hurt me
    Everything you do hurts me.

    Leave me alone.
    You complicate me.
    I'm afraid to love you.

I couldn't really think of a good title, but oh well. The confusing letter I got from my father today inspired me to write this. He and I have a, um, bad relationship.
