Hey all, I'm working 2 jobs right now and I'm completely drained all the time but I can't quit either job because I'm really needing to save some mula. Do any of you know and fast working crazy energy booster suppliments or anything I can use? Lately I've been just living on energy drinks, but when I don't have them ooh man I just feel like crawling up in a ball and dying. Which is out of the question.. Suggestions would be so appreciated.
Here's some information I have on the topic, having been there before! Foods to eat: -Apples (they are truly better than coffee for waking you up) -Banannas ( they increase the production of serotonin which in turn makes you feel happier, thus more energized) -Figs (ancient egyptians beleived that they enhance athletic ability---give u energy) -Chocolate (kinda like a drug, but will give you a natural high for some time) -Whole wheat foods, yellow split peas, ginseng and cocoa also do the same things Aromatherapy: Peppermint, basil, eucalyptus Smoothies are also a huge help, look online for some energy boosting smoothies, you can almost feel yourself re-gaining energy from them at times. If possible, make a cd of all the happy/energizing music you love and bring it to work to listen too or listen to it on breaks. You may also want to strech on your breaks to release negative tension within your body. Hope it helped~ and keep up the daily strength!
the previous are great suggestions. the best things are really eating the RIGHT foods, getting the right amount of rest and sleep, meditating or finding other constuctive ways to relax... and excercise but an herbal supplement that does work and is actually good for you is siberian ginseng... which actually is just a nickname. it's not ginseng at all, but in the same family of roots. you can buy it on line but be careful, lots of places will try to rip you off... if you want or need some advice on trustworthy places on line to buy it... or more of the benefits (the chinese have propped it up for AT LEAST 2 thousand years for MANY health benefits and it's more then safe to take over periods of time... with a neg. thing being... if you have high blood pressure, dont take or consult a doc.) pm me.
I was going to mention Ginseng, if someone hadn't already. Does it *have to* be Siberian Ginseng? I never really knew there was more than one kind. Someone correct me if I am wrong, I am not a Ginseng expert, but I don't think it's an imediate energy boost, though...you need to get it in your system for a while before you feel the effects, I believe.
Depending on your level of interest, doing squats and push ups before bed will improve your physical health.
start drinkning berocca, or some high Vitimin B complex. but you gotta take it every day for a week or so before you really start noticing the difference
Sounds like iron deficiency. Lamb and beef are both excellent sources. Also a bit of extra salt in hot weather is good.
Some daily exercise would be the best thing to add to your schedule, but if you insist on an energy drink, then the only one I can really suggest is yerba mate. It's an amazing drink and contains a caffeine-like substance.
Acai berries, very nice and yum. Zola drinks have acai berry (and other ingredients (including caffeine)). Acai berry contains powerful antioxidant properties. The favor is similiar to a chocolate (only chocolate, ie no sugar or milk) and blackberry mixed but instead slightly bitter (adding very small amount of cane sugar, for example, alters the favor significantly). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A%C3%A7a%C3%AD_Palm http://www.zolaacai.com/ http://www.zolaacai.com/faq.html .
siberian ginseng has more benefits then palax ginseng... they are actually very different- (not from the same plant) the stuff i take i think it DOES give you immediate energy but you dont get the full benefits that the herb has to offer unless you continue taking it.
way to go folks! lotsa *positive* healthy suggestions already listed above i would say stay off the hard caffeine (the energy drinks you mentioned) b/c they really only offer a 'quick fix' & leave you more exhausted when you crash off of them! i'm not sure which type you are referring to, but there is a LOT of scary info out there. a guy died here recently after drinking red bulls at the bar. he was only in his early thirties & had a heart attack on his way home...very sad & Scary if you want a drink, though, i would second the vote for yerba mate (it does not contain the same kind of caffeine & is not harsh to your system) or maybe even some green tea. you could make it at night & stick it in the fridge to carry with you the next day
