Hurricane is coming this weekend... My friend decided his plant was going to be fucked no matter what, so he gave me it Here's the rundown...it's growing in a beer cup (Yeah I couldn't believe it either) and it's about 2 feet tall, it's an AK-48 (or 47?...I know 47 is the gun and probably makes more sense...) anyway...I put it (beer cup and all...because the roots have grown attached to it...it's JUST about to flower) into a slightly bigger pot and filled the soil (just for stability, no real growing reason) around it So anyway...wish it luck on surviving the hurricane...when it gets closer, I can decide where to move it, tie it down, etc etc...but for now...just wish it luck PS. I know this will actually flower too because my friend has grown it out of beer cups before (I didn't know until today, but I have smoked some of his home grown stuff before) Anyway...wish it luck!
Do you think the plant would die if I moved it to a bigger container, seeing as it has spent its whol life (All besides for flowering) in the little cup?
Just transplant it from the beer cup. Just squish the dges so it can get looser and then just remove it. Not too hard. And if you didnt remove it from the beer cup, it wont matter if you transplant it. And btw putting the beer cup into the pot wont do anything. Assuming that cup is plastic or glass.
"I put it (beer cup and all...because the roots have grown attached to it...it's JUST about to flower) into a slightly bigger pot and filled the soil (just for stability, no real growing reason) around it" I know it wont grow out of the beer cup, that's why I said that I just put it there because the beercup is so skinny, it has less of a chance of falling over this way Anywho, I found a nice, hurricane proof area for a bit... Also, I just took a boxcutter and sliced straight down the edge of the cup and then put it into a bigger bucket...so now it's as stable as can be since I stick tied it
It survived And actually somehow managed to go into flowering during the storms haha...I checked out it at about 3pm, right before work...and it was doing very nicely and the smell is starting to come out
If you could revert it back into Vegetative growth, your plant would probably spurt into something much larger, just from the extra room. I couldn't imagine it being very bushy is such a confined space, but hey- if it can grow, it will. Post some pics, let us know how things turn out
To revert back to VEG you'll need to put it back on 24/7 & if you have a metal halide light it will revert much easier
I ended up having to kill the plant due to it being a male haha It was so looking like a female on me...and then all the sudden, 2 days later it had big hairy balls. So yeah, complete lameness, but it's fine because I had my own plant (feminized seed) right behind it
