What do you like and dislike about your continent?

Hi, in this thread you are supposed to mention one thing you like and one thing you dislike about your continent.

the united states [yucky piece of shit country] is contained by it ...nuf said

 

i like all the types of landscapes the continent has.

i dislike that we have the atlantic and pacific oceans:H

 

good thing being its connected to south america by land and you could almost walk there if it wernt for that pesky darrien swamp between panama and colombia

 

fitzy lives neer chelsea ,the birthplace of my granpa and epicenter of civilization

I dislike a lot of things about our pop culture and fast food lifestyle.

I absolutely love the landscapes though. There is truly beautiful scenery on the American continent.

i dislike the location on the earth my continent is at

 

i'm not sure it's possible to live anyplace and limit yourself to only one thing to not like about it!

worshipping the automobile and romaticizing aggressiveness
are pretty much in a dead heat. but that's about human society, not really about anything to do with the land itself.

rocks and trees and little furry creatures with big sharp teeth and the little spirit that lives down by the creek are what i love about anyplace whatever the place is wherever i happen to be. the rocks and trees et c. right here. right where i am. wherever i might happen to be.

really one continent from another i really can't say.

i'd just have to say the natural world is what i would like about where i was wherever i was
and human society would most likely be what i most disliked
again werever i might happen to be

but that is of neccessity somewhat speculative
as i've really only seen the one continent and not much more
then the one country where i live.

if the dominant beliefs on top of my sierra nevada mountains were shinto, budhist and taoist or even hindu
and the dominant means of transportation were modern little narrow gauge trains like in switzerland or even smaller ones like the portland oregon zooliner

and of course also if everyone was basicly mellow, immaginative and creative but also nonintrusive

well that would be more wonderful then i could immagine

My continent (right now) is Asia. There are so many amazing and diverse places to visit, and I'll be going to one in August - Thailand.

What do I dislike about Asia? Maybe the only things I dislike about it are it's too damn big and so far away from home.

 

I dislike the new and improved disposable everything.....we are filling up the world with garbage faster than Birdie fill up Random Thoughts....

 

I am always bummed that my country hates the Dixie Chicks.
