I believe Jew is one of those words that is always capitalized <even on your island>. I also believe that Jews are capable of eating pretty much what any other member of the human race can safely eat. Whether or not a practicing Jew would want to consume such an abomination is another matter.

clearly its not always capitalized, regardless of whether its meant to be. and no i dont think a devout jew CAN eat non kosher, wouldnt that sorta strip him of his jewishness? i dont think jews have the whole 'you can be forgiven for every sin' thing. its like a christian just chosing not to accept christ as his savior!
