Well this ruins my fucking day.

I think my stupid hard drive thingy went bye bye.. It's dead!! Damnit, I'm pretty sure I lost all of my files and stuff.

It was running a linux thingy.. So err hopefully once I get a new compy I can just like hook it up and like.. Transfer whatever is left onto a new hard drive to dig through right?

 

This si so fucking shitty, I'm on the same fucking computer, but ont the other hard drive with windows and shit, but it's so spyware and virus rioddled, I can barely run yahoo and firefox at the same time. I feel like shooting myself trying to get this fucker to work.

Soulless you should get a 'cd burner' put on your computer then you can burn all your computers information to cd. And you wont lose it again. I burn everything on my comp to cd's when my computer starts playing up on me or has a virus on it just in case it decides to die on me.

I have a burner but I was having issues with it. When I first started having problems, I was almost going to put all my most important stuff on a usb key thing, but then I decided to restart first and see what happens.. That was a dumb idea..

actually, i got an 80 gig maxtor ill sell you for 40 bucks + shipping and handling. its 40 bucks, cuz thats how much itlll cost to get the whole computer out of the shop. but the motherboard is fried, so yeah. but its prolly already got pron on it and some games and stuff.

 

I feel ya buddy, my comp crashed about two months ago.

WHich is why you poor people haven't seen much of me.

I think it's just the power source, but I haven't had the heart to buy a new one. I did fix my roomates computer though. He had gotten a stolen copy of XP ad never registered it, so after a month his computer was totally unusable, so I just gave him linux partition on another HD he had. His computer had been like that for about a year.

I don't think he want's it anymore. Heh.

 

That would have been so annoying.

 

A year ago I lost a hd, or thought I had. Turned out to be the power supply. I didn't actually loose data, but I thought I had for about three hellish weeks. 20 gigs of music and 4 years worth of digital pics (of my kids!), none backed up. Now I back everthing up to an external hd.
