I'm doing an oral presentation on how to protest, and so I'm going to make signs, the only thing is, I have writer's block for the signs. What are some good protesting slogans?

I have this image in my mind of a sign with nothing but a bunch of those yellow 'support the military' stickers all over it. Maybe you can do something with that idea. :)

Or maybe a sign that says "A generation ago it was a call for peace. *peace symbol*, Today it's a call for war. *yellow ribbon*

(Sorry, I don't have graphics handy for the peace symbol and yellow ribbon)

Need space for more ribbons? Buy a bigger SUV!

What about someone pinning a yellow ribbon on Bush's rear end? (like pin the tail on the donkey) with the slogan, 'Support Our President!'

A government 'pass the buck' joke:
Have a string of people in a line each with a sign that points down to the next person and reads "It's his fault!"

Maybe I'll think of some others. Just let your mind wander and you'll come up with ideas. :)

    From the 60's:
    "Draft beer, not students"
"War is not good for children and other living things"

    70's:
    "No nukes is good nukes""

    More recent:
    "Who would Jesus bomb?"

Cellar Door, I remember it as "Hell no! We won't go!"

My personal favorite chant "Hey Hey, Ho Ho, This rhyming shit has got to go!"

The slogans can't possibly do all of that, Inagodadavita. They are there to get the person's attention and try to make a point. Some are just there for humor or parody or hyperbole. The discussion comes afterward if people are willing to listen and debate each other. I know how frustrated you get when someone is critical of Bush, but you have to realize that not everyone supports his policies.

i can't really comment too deeply on American politics as I do not live there, but from what I have studied there seems to be very very little difference between the democrats and republicans, which much suck in a two party system, also there are good rich people, and bad poor people but i feel the rich do have more of a duty to care for the poor

Failure is a choice. Poverty is a mental disease.
