I loved Sin City, I feel the whole movie is a visual delight, great direction, photography... the story itself, is just a story it's the way that is told, how the characthers narrate it, how the image gets to you. It's one of the most artistic movies I ever seen.
Totally agree. It was a great movie. So completely true to the original Frank Miller stories. Plus, exceptional performances by Mickey Rourke and Elijah Wood. I have a feeling there may be a sequel.
The whole point of this movie was to prove that a comic ("graphic novel" - come on ppl, it's a comic, and that's that.) could successfully be interpereted into movie form. I think they proved this point quite well. I really liked this movie, as a fan of the books, and I found that unlike other comic book movies they stayed true to the book and instead of ruining it, it was really just taking the books and adding 3d effects and audio. It really gave the books a voice. Not to mention that it was wicked badass.
I saw Sin City not too long ago, and man was it great. I loved it. Definetly one of the best films to come out, in the last 5 years.
I read the story with Marv about 10 years ago and went completely gaga over it. I immediately got 2 trenchcoats, 1 in black leather, and I still wear them to this day.
