Yeah, well, she got the "I am a woman" time off.

Just like the woman near here who was basically sent to jail for next to no time for hogtying her children etc. and keeping them in cages.

She went on about how she was a WOMAN. A MOTHER. What about her kids, etc.

She got less time than the husband who gave her the hogties.

    WTF that is totally deranged.

That woman should be locked up for a long time, preferably in a nut house.

She broke up with him for Christ sake, years ago. You kinda give up the right to be pissed about it after that.

Holy shit, what a bitch....at least she didn't cut it off though [IMG]

I read yesterday about a man that was glued to a toilet seat at Home Depot...EMS had to take him out the front of the store with a toilet seat on his ass. How embarrassing. Needless to say, he is suing...(apparently the employees at home depot didn't help him for a long time)

I can't get over that. Just wow. *shakes head in disbelief*

I don't know if it's the same couple or not, but I know about the foster parents who were keeping their children in cages, said they were told to by a professional for the safety of the children, even painted the cages in primary colors. Insane.

She's a girl, so naturally no jail time, no DNA retrieval, no sex offender registry, even though she raped a 12 year old boy with a pit bull.

Once again - reverse the genders.... see what happens.

    Equality my ass.

i do. when i worked for a bail bondsman in simi valley i had to deal with the case of a couple who got caught smacking each other. both did jail time. it was hilarious to me.

but you really must stop thinking that all women are evil. it's tiresome and childish.

That is extremely rare. She must have been ugly. usually she bats her lashes, does the baby squid eyes thing, and talks about how jail would keep her away from her children and deprive them of a mother, etc....

Well, in my state, someone in our governor's staff beat up his girlfriend, and all he got was probation. The legislators in my state made a joke about the title of a new DV bill called "POWER" and one man said it should be called "POPER" as in pop her....then he said "pop her again."

My state is #1 in the country in domestic violence. DV is the #1 cause of death of women in my state. And our senators and reps want to make a joke about it.

It goes both ways, IG. Yeah, HELL yeah, that "woman" should be locked up. But, men don't usually go to jail for it, either. I called the cops on my ex who was abusing me, one pig came to my house and told me to leave the house. No arrest, nothing.

Far more often for the women than the men. I'm saying that we should treat crooks as crooks and not give someone a pass for being either male or female.

From your sig: Location: Buckle of the bible belt - explains everything.

Just because she's from the buckle of the Bible Belt doesn't make it right or fair that DV is looked at as a joke, even coming from BOTH GENDERS.

Yes, women get off light. But you're forgetting all of the thousands of cases of DV that are male-on-female that go unreported BY POLICEMEN dispatched to the homes every fucking year.

Yes, it's a shame that people aren't getting more jail time for crimes they commit, whether they are female or male. But someone said something on the radio today that makes sense. "How can we expect citizens to be respectful and uphold ANY law when our leaders, those imposing the laws, are seen being disrespectful and breaking numerous laws. We can't expect our citizens to be any better than those leading them."

You are absolutely right, twang-face. But lest you forget, the law is specifically targeted against men and towards women. It's the Violence Against Women Act. The language isn't gender neutral - and money has to go to WOMEN's shelters and MEN are the aggressors UNDER THE LAW.

DV as a joke from cops - I don't think that's cool at all. But hey, almost half of all pigs beat their spouses, known fact. But hey, when it goes beyond the arrest and into the courtroom, shouldn't a judge start applying the law?

See above. What cops choose to arrest folks for and not astounds me daily.
