here ya goes, a pic from halloween parade and me in uniform and me being me... halloween me and a friend in our dress blues me being me...
well, i go to a military college, so that particular uniform is used for special events. that evening, we had a Military Ball, so thats the uniform for Balls and sometimes for parades and other official events.
well, its a long story, but the jist of it is this: i was planning on enlisting in the marines after high school - this was at the beginning of senior year - and then i learned about my school so i applied to other schools and my school and when i was accepted to my school, i made the decision to go here. after 4 years, i could commission as an officier in whatever branch i did ROTC for. so freshman year comes and i become a recruit (ROOK) and i do all the training and what not. i become a Cadet in the Corps of Cadets, but were still freshman. i'm still not sure if i want to join the military or not at this point. well, 1 months before my freshman year ends, i get a knee injury which required surgery, but i waited until i got home for surgery. having surgery pretty much finalized my decision on NOT to join the military after i graduate. theres a whole list of reasons why i don't want to join, but my knee injury gave it the final push. now, as a junior, i'm still here. i didn't do much sophomore year, because i was rehabing my knee, so i didn't do any training - which helped reinforce me not joining the military. so as a junior, basically the only reason why i'm still here is because of my friends. our bond is special, its something i dont' think i could get anywhere else...so i'm still here. so thats the jist of it...
Interesting. Believe it or not, I always wanted to go to a military type school or boarding school or something. I don't know why. I am glad I didn't in the long run, though. LOL They just seemed like fun.
there is a lot of fun that goes on here, but that is also accompanied by a lot of "professionalism" that can be very annoying. and a lot of the fun thigns we do, people at regular schools won't think are fun. like, as a freshmen, we'd sneak out at night, with toilet paper and make a huge "B" (B stands for Bravo, which is my original company) on the mountain or we'd go down to the rail road tracks and bring back railroad ties (huge wooden beams) and bring them back on campus and make a huge "B" with them -- we call these Spirit Missions. or we would have shoe (or boot) shining parties...we have to make a lot of our fun, especially when your a freshman and you're still a recruit (or Rook, which is the nickname for recruits here). but this type of place isn't for everyone...but thanks for asking questions though, i rarely get the chance to talk about this type of stuff with people on here...
You look like a guy who really knows how to have a good time, someone who can make you laugh even on the worst of days! Cute pics!
