Hello, I am 15 years old and I am gay (actually BI, but more on the gay side. I had sex with a girl). My problem is this:

I want to have a relationship (or just mess around) with another guy. The thing is, if people knew I was gay, my life would be awful.

If there are other gay teens in my area how can I tell who they are? And when I do, how do I "come-out" to them?

Are there any other ways to meet gays in my area? Online bulletins or anything like that?

    Please help! I'M DESPERATE!

Coming out at your age can be very difficult and dangerous. You may be wise to stay in the closet. But, the closet is also a very lonely place to be. Connecting to some kind of a community is more important than "fooling around" at your age. (Don't worry sweetie, you'll have plenty of time for that.)

All of the online glbt bulletins I have found prior to this one were for glbt youth. This forum is unique, as far as I know, because it has adults in the discussions, but it isn't about "adult" discussion. you might try searching google for 'gay bi forum -personals -free', or with the word Youth (minus the quote marks). Do write to pflag.org to find out about resources on Getting Support - Coming Out. Try to contact the chapter that is nearest you, even if there isn't one in your own town.

From what I can tell, the folks in this forum are warm and caring. Most of us have experienced what you might be going through. Don't be afraid to write about your concerns.

    hugs.

    Hey,
I understand what your going through. Don't go nuts/crazy. It will happen and you know what "it" is. Yep, at 15 you will go insane but thats your job. Your hormones are going nuts. Some guys are hot for girls and others are horny for guys. Advice: Be real careful about who you talk to. Unless you plan on outing yourself,if you do, go with friends first and then Mom and Dad. Friends are more supportive and accepting. Mom and Dad will freak out and then learn to accept.

If you like a guy ...hang out with him and catch his vibes. He does what you do and talks about girls to "act straight". Chemistry is important, you will learn that fast. I can't tell you enough to be careful, thats also your job. If you ever want to talk about shit, email me. I am a no holds no shit guy and I will tell you the way it is. Shit will happen for you, it will happen when you least expect it. Don't be DESPERATE. Be Invigorated.

    hey man,

try www.outminds.com - that site was a real help to me. There's heaps of youth there around you age, and worth a look at least. It's online forums and articles and heaps of information and support.

Does your school have a GSA or GBLT group?

try this site, it is a great place for gay, les and questioning youth, run by youth and FOR youth. the have a terrific support staff

    www.youth-guard.org

I've known Jason H, the creator of the site, for many years. He stepped down as director because he became too "old", 28. he passed the reigns to a younger guy.

    peace out, my young friend
