yes, I saw this movie when I was a little kid... my mom was watching it, and those twins creeped the shit out of me when that boy was riding his three wheeler through the hallways.....

the shining is one fucked up movie...... I love it!!

I would still have to say the scariest movie for me had to be poltergeist, that movie gave me chills for so long, when I was a kid...... not good to watch that movie when you are a kid..... haha. I still wont ever sleep near to a doll, or a clown doll, for that matter.

The Exorcist... when that little girl comes downstairs and starts peeing on the rug. God, that's awkward to watch with your mom.

Poltergeist II rocks too. Your right that was creepy.
Poltergeist II many of the actors died right afterwards. The little blond chick who says' "Their HERE" died of some odd disease. The sister was killed in a car wreck. The Indian died too of a heart attack.
    Good pick!

the thing about the exorcist for me is that I saw so many spoofs of that movie before I actually saw the exorcist....... and so it cheapened the "chill factor" for me..... I could imagine how creepy it would have been if I saw it in the movie theatre in 1973, though. that crab walk down the stars was kinda fucked up though, no matter when you see it. also, when I first saw the sequence when possessed reagan stabs herself downstairs with the crucifix, and says "fuck me, fuck me"...... I just sat there shocked...... how did they get away with that?? thats quite blasphemous, dont you think?

yep, there is a curse on polteirgeist....... they did perform an exorcism on the set(the indian actor did) during one of those sequels.... someone brought some real skeletons onto the set...... and the spirits of those skeletons haunted the place....... they had alot of strange things happen on the sets of the sequels (both 2 and 3). I believe tobe hooper (texas chainsaw massacre) did the sequels to poltergeist?? well at least the third one.......I could be wrong.

one time the exorcist came on my tv in the middle of the day when i was home alone (about 8 or 9 yrs old) and i couldn't bring myself to go up to the tv to turn it off, so i stayed outside (in the dark) until my mother got home.

but the shining, for some reason, was one of my favorite movies. poltergeist, too. go figure.

I remember thinking The Pit and the Pendulum was the scariest movie id ever seen, but that was when i was around 13 years old...
Most of you probably dont think the newer horror movies are all that scary, but i thought The Grudge was pretty creepy
