This is a great psychedelic album! A hidden gem, to say the least. Has anyone heard it? If you haven't and you like British psych, you must check this one out. Instead of simply re-hashing facts about this album, I'm just going to post a good review of it from Rate Your Music:

This album was produced by Bill Wyman at the same time he was recording Satanic Majesties with the Rolling Stones. Unfortunately for The End it wasn't actually released by Decca until November of 1969, and by that time things had changed in music to the point that the pop-psych playing and harmonizing of Introspection sounded distinctly out of step with the blues boom and back to basics aesthetic prevalent throughout the rock universe when the record hit the stands. That's too bad because I have a feeling this would have gone over very well had it been made available a year or so earlier. According to the liner notes, written by Mark Powell, the album was mixed by none other than Glyn Johns who'd stopped by the studio and immediately volunteered his services after liking what he heard. "Cardboard Watch," "Loving Sacred Loving," "What Does It Feel Like," "Don't Take Me," and "Shades of Orange" are particularly good forays into mellow psychedelia. There's a lot to enjoy here and I'm glad I stumbled across this one and gave it a listen.

Bill Wyman; "The tracks 'Loving Sacred Loving' and 'Shades of Orange' were later confused by bootleg collectors as being Stones tracks that were unused from the album (Their Satanic Majesties Request) and that The Beatles appeared on them, as they were psychedelic. They were mooted as being Beatles/Stones collaboration out-takes!"
