I dont find marijuana addicted, and i dont feel like i need it....but i want to stop smoking it for at least a week so i could lower down my tolarance, but the problem his that i can't stop smoking it because everyday there's someone that tells me if i want to join them, and i just can't say no to the oppurtunity..............................any advice
Go on a pot fast. Set a date to start and a date to end. The experience will clear your head and your blood stream. If you are "fasting" instead of just quitting for a while, you give yourself a goal to achieve. You also have an explaination when your friends offer to smoke with you. Yeah, its only a mind game on yourself, but it works.
its only addictive to people with no self control... What advice do you want? would like us to come to your home and tie you up so you cant smoke? Only you can control yourself, and its not that hard.
Yeah man, I've sat in on circles plenty of times, held the pipe in my hand, and just passed it on. Just gotta say no, not only to other people but to yourself. No matter what, you have the control to not put the pipe to your mouth. Just dont do it, simple as that.
cut off easy access...i have to work to get weed, and after a while it gets to be more work than its worth. i went from everyday to not smoking in two weeks, and i dont mind. just dont think about it and go get laid or something.
Masturbation is addictive. I couldn't stop if I wanted. Unless I had 1 girl for every time I masturbated.
Dude, when i was 15 i had to go masterbate just from the ads in newspapers from chics wearing underwear. I would try to peek down every girls shirt when she bent over and everything. My middle name was mahogany.
Yeah, there's definately a withdrawal period everytime I break up with a girl Where it's just like chronic masturbation, for everytime I would've had sex, I think I jerk it like 2 times haha Anywho, asshole, I mean IronGoth, he clearly stated he isn't addicted and can go without it, he just isn't going to turn down a free smoking opportunity. Now, from my stance, I wouldn't turn down a free smoking opportunity either...but that's only because I've only quit to save money, not to lower tolerance... So my advice sucks.
He just said he isn't addicted, you half-breed. He just can't stop because someone asks him everyday if he wants to quit, and he won't turn down free pot. I wouldn't quit if I was getting free pot too.
if you cant turn down the opportunity then you cant stop smoking weed, and hence you are addicted. to overcome this addiction, exert self control, as has been said. ill say it again, it matters jack shit why a person is always smoking, only that they always are, and if they want to stop, and arent stopping, this means they are addicted, plain and simple.
Continuing use of marijuana because of free pot is not related to addiction. Simply because there is no reason to stop that out-weighs free weed.
why does it matter what it costs? sinc when does money have anything to do with addiction? addiction is the continual act of using it out of ones own actions, regardless of best interests. his interests are to stop smoking. hes still smoking. why turn down free weed? why turn down weed thats maybe 1 dollar an ounce? i guess theres only a few bucks different till its 10 bucks an ounce, considering how much.. if 10 bucks is practically the same as 1 buck then it may as well be 100 bucks an ounce and be the same situation. price is not an issue. habit is. habit is the only issue with cannabis addiction. think about people who grow marijuana. taking the logic that its not an addiction simply because its being offered, hes not actively seeking it, would mean that having a cannabis plant would exept you from addiction, simply because its always growing there. youd water the plant just like youd maintain friendships with people who are offering you weed. "continuing use of marijuana because of free pot is not related to addiction" actually, continuing use of marijuana in the case of wanting to stop is a DEFINITION for addiction! 'because of free pot' is simply the means of achieving the addiction. this can be overcome by simply saying no.
if you say that you 'dont need it anymore' then why should it be a problem to say no if its offered to you?
Well if you are used to paying $50 for 3.5 grams of the shit, it is hard to pass up free weed. Not to mention he doesn't need to quit for any reason other than to lower his tolerance. Which he knows. I'm sure if he needed to quit for health or legal reasons, he would pass it up no prob. As TONS of people do, who don't quit when they say are they for no real reason at all. So therefore this alleged addiction is bullshit. Thurgood ... "My name is Thurgood. I am here today because I am addicted to marijuana." Support Group Member (Bob Saget) ... "I used to suck dick for coke. You ever sucked some dick for marijuana?" Thurgood ... "No, No, I can't say I have."
