So i took a tour of the martin guitar factory today... and who else would lead the tour but Chris F. Martin IV... oh yeah baby... he signed my backpackers songbook! Peace YALL
Yeah its pretty sweet! he leads the tours randomly, so i was really lucky to have it be led by him... it was so interesting having him show us how all the guitars are made... He was really intelligent, He does alot of stuff it looked like The CEO... heehee... SWEET!
Yeah, I have a set of coasters and a shirt. Chris Martinnn.... He does a few columnist writings for newspapers and things. He runs the place as a tight-knit family for such a large company. Alot of his stories are great . The first guitar he built was almost like the backpacker. I think he started out packaging strings at the old factory building when he was nine.
Fuck that.. I hate Martin guitars. Call me insane but fuck it. I'm more happy with my Breedlove. Any Martin I've ever played has been awful. Good low tones but absolutely horrible upper tones. I've played over 10 or so Martins too.
Are you kidding? My Martin has an absolutely beautiful, rich sound, and it is the most trebley of all my guitars.
Breedloves... now that's a special guitar. A lot of people I know can't take the uniqueness of them, but I love them. I play them at a shop in Fredericksburg all the time, but I'm happy with my Martin and Guild.
