What to do for placenta previa is there a position or herbal supplement to help, friend is due in september AND HAS FULL PLACENTAL PREVIA. iS THERE AN EXCERSISE OR SOMETHING THAT SHE CAN DUE? sHE DOES NOT WANT CESARIAN h
Placenta previa can sometimes move upwards, but as far as I know, there's nothing to do but go on bedrest and pray that as the uterus grows, the placenta moves upwards. At this stage of pregnancy, it's unlikely it will move, though. The only option for complete previa is a c-section, the baby can not be delivered through the cervix, and as the cervix dilates, the placenta begins to seperate and bleeds. has she had a previous c-section? Uterine scarring is the biggest risk factor for previa.
The only option is having a c-section. If it is complete placenta previa or even if the placenta is somewhat close to the cervix, doctors will perform a c-section. ~namaste~
unfortunatly she weill probably need a c-section, sometime the placenta moves enough to allow a vaginal delivery but its unlikely, she should push for late scans incase it does move up, there was a case where the placenta moved in the last three weeks before delivery but this is rare. if she goes into labour and it hasnt moved the contractions can cause the placenta to seperate from the uterus as the cervix opens and the baby could be deprived of oxygen so its absolutly neccesary to hace ceserian in that case, also, the placenta blocks the birth canal and obviously you can't move it b4 the bub is born. wish i could tell you different but its just the way it goes sometimes. hope your friend has a healthy bub.xx
just wanted to say I too had placenta previa with my second pregnancy. found out during my ultra sound and was bummed. I had a midwife and wanted a wonderful homebirth. blech! C section was the only way to go. It is unavoidable my doctor told me that sometimes the placenta just attaches near the cervix nothing to correct it. I wish her the best and positive energy that it moves up so she can have the birth she wants! also near the end she has to be very careful not to excert herself too much to avoid early bleeding. Placenta previa is pretty risky! Valerie
Plaventa previa is when the placenta implants low in the uterus and partially or completely covers the cervical os. When labor begins and the cervix dilates, it seperates from the cervix and bleeds, cutting off O2 to the baby and putting Mom at risk of severe hemorrhage. C-section is the only safe way to deliver a baby.
Thanks I actually had a friend tell me what it was too. Kinda shitty when you have it but acording to her, if your uterus rises by 20 weeks and you havent had a previous c section you wont need one, but dont count on it sorta situation...
