    Hiking

    the mountain ridge
    the rocky trail biting my bare feet
    the sun, the breeze, the view
    the long hard trek that took me away
    and brought me home at last

    she said I looked like a hangover
    I said I felt like a summer sunset

    Nice, I like the hangover/sunset lines, so true. Both right and yet noth so different.

    Reminds me of a card I wrote to put with flowers:

    "I'd climb a mountain just to see the view, made ever-more beautiful by been there with you"

    The mountain always brings a serene Idea, I liked the simple images. I work the same way, bring the reader to your work the places that you truly see. Well done.
