Has anyone ever taken over 250 micrograms? Up to 500? what happens at the max dose if anyone has ever done it? I've only taken 2 hits at a time - they were decent, and I definitely want to take higher doses, but once I can get enough someday I might wanna reach that, so if anyone wants to share some experiences I'm interested.
In these doses tripping becomes very serious, from what i experienced, once. I remember fighting the trip because of my inexperience, and it felt like an elephant kept sitting on me every now and then, and i couldnt feel where my body ended, couldnt make a difference between the grass and my layed down body. My whole vision was warping endlessly, i couldnt see anything anymore at some point. When things calmed down a bit, there were still no houses around, just mounts of waste paint. Trees were flying in the sky and 80 meters electric poles seemed to be extra small replicas made of lego. Very grotesque. I guess you have to be a happy go lucky to walk around during strong doses.
With "street" LSD, there is no guarantees. Proper QUALITY CONTROLS don't always exist, unless you have an excellant chemist, who actually cares about the final product. Unless you can test and measure the doses you have from one given batch, you can't know exactly how many micrograms of LSD they contain per pill, blotter, windowpane, gel tabs, liquid vials, etc. dose. In the late 60's/early 70's, there were some LSD chemists like: Stanley Owsley, Tim Scully and Richard Kemp, who cared enough to make quality products. Before 1966 (LSD was made illegal in 1966) LSD was mostly pharmaceutically pure (over 99.9% PURE), as it came from Sandoz Pharmaceuticals in Basel, Switzerland. I didn't get to try that, but it would've been nice! With a given batch you can experiment to determine how it effects you, on the physical level. There are psychological variables and personality differences between people, that determine a "psychedelic" dose. Once you determine what a powerful tripping dose is, you can go from there. LSD in the late60's/early 70's was more potent back then, i.e. more micrograms of LSD per unit dose, and thus, MORE POWERFUL per dose. Purity was alot higher, than now, because of more caring LSD chemists. Stll, there was no guarantee of purity back then, either. A "weak" dose makes you feel good (euphoric) and has no real visuals. There are slight distortions in perception and has some "psychanalytic" effects. With a "moderate" (or usually "normal") dose, you get: moderate visual distortions, shifting patterns, swirling colors, "trails" (strobe light effects, where you see "after images" when some person (or object) moves) and deep spiritual insights. Objects (like the walls) seem like they're "breathing" and alive, but NO "true" hallucinations (i.e. concrete 3D-looking images). At a "high" (or "psychedelic") dose, it gets intense, with: wild visual distortions, power surges of energy, things vibrating, things melting, multiple images, vivid visuals of patterns, swirling colors, rainbow auras around objects, plus real hallucinations of seeing objects. Intense, bizarre and wild "feelings". Feelings of "freshness", "newness" and being "electric". The air seems thick like Jello. You can taste the colors. Feeling things "outside" of your body. Mind "expansion" across the universe. Spiritual truths and insights. At the highest ("insane") dose: the whole room can disappear, and "morph" into another space/time dimension, or change into a jungle. Reality becomes a "cartoon", like ROGER RABBIT, or THE YELLOW SUBMARINE (Beatles' movie). You go on "The Magical Mystery Tour." It's VERY WILD and VERY INTENSE. Hard to hold it together, at times. Stay mellow and "go with the flow". Usually only the "peak" is this INTENSE. WAY whacked out man!!!!!!! In my High School years (in the early 70's), the SUNSHINE acids (via Tim Scully) were popular: ORANGE SUNSHINE, YELLOW SUNSHINE and ORANGE BARREL. One of my friends ate about 40 hits of acid and had a "big party in the sky". Another friend took a high dose of ORANGE BARREL and saw the houses come alive (like a cartoon) and laugh at him!!! I was a hippie back then, but I didn't do psychedelics yet, even though I hung out with the biggest "heads" in my High School. They were intelligent, sociable, talented and fun! Things were peace, love and cool, back then. In my second year of college, I went out-of-state to Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona (for architecture). In my dorm atmosphere, I was turned onto marijuana. I loved the stuff. At the end of my last semester there, I tripped on 1 hit of "4-way amber windowpane" (4-way=4 doses). Later, someone told me that I should've had a quarter-hit for a first time trip. Another heavy pot smoker said, "I won't touch the stuff!" They told me AFTER I tripped. Too late. 4-way amber windowpane (reportedly PURE and POWERFUL) was very, very powerful. As for purity? Who knows, I didn't test a batch sample (but wish that I could have). I went on about the HIGHEST level , on LSD, that I could go (or care to go). This was my first LSD trip and not cool for a first trip, but at least I know all the things that LSD can do. It's too long to re-type, here. You can't know what LSD is all about, unless you drop a heavy-duty PSYCHEDELIC DOSE. It's INTENSE, SCARY, WHACKED-OUT and VERY CHALLENGING, but cool! A 70's term was: "Getting RIPPED on acid!" It will tear at your mind and soul. Will you survive? awesome man you really have to know how to let go of anything and everything "go with the flow" like ^ that guy said you have to plan that you might get so high you'll completely forget that your on a drug,and who and where you are,so you have it embedded deep inside yourself to relax and let it fly dancing and singing with friends while waiting for come up is best thing to do,in my opinion
Nice description cosmic! Making me want to eat some doses heh.. I think only higher level you can go is a thumbprint. I doubt anyone who frequents these boards has experienced one though...
