Hey dudes, I just saw this website while browsing drum circle websites.. i just moved from chicago to florida after i got out of rehab... im almost 16 and trying to make some cool friends... i love djembe drums, music (grateful dead, bob marley, jimi hendrix, janis joplin-my rold model).. im a vegetarian, and i love to have fun and enjoy life cause theres no point to living if you cant really LIVE!! ANyone else from Florida???
Hello tree_hugger_4_life, hmmm, just out of rehab at such a young age, I wish you well on your path to recovery and womanhood. Florida is great, but beware, the shits everywhere. I’m a realist, get a good home group, a sponsor and don’t do anything without talking to her first, I mean ANYTHIHG. I had 10 years clean & sober, was in the wrong place at the wrong time and luckily I’m still here to talk about it, not so for a very good friend of mine, who dropped dead at my feet. Please don’t lose touch with where you were. OK, I’ll get off my soapbox. If you need someone to talk to please feel free to PM me at anytime. Let me extend the welcome mat. I recently found “The Hip Forums” myself and I know what it’s like to be a newcomer. You don’t really know what to say or how to act. Read some of the threads so you can get the gist of what topics are being discussed. When you feel comfortable jump right in and get your feet wet. Nobody here is going to “Flame” you, that just isn’t tolerated here (unless it’s necessary) lol. We get some assholes here who just want to stir up bad vibes... From what I’ve found so far is that we are one big family with many brothers and sisters.
