Well not really, because happy is happy is happy. If it's happy, then it doesn't matter what context it's in..It's just happy.
I agree. I think the Chinese say this too, or something--goes with the Yin and Yang idea. If it weren't true, then there wouldn't be spoiled children in the world, right?
no, because you wouldnt have anything to compare it to. think about it this way. if you didnt have all the hard times, the good times wouldnt mean as much because you wouldnt have ever had it really bad. so then every happy moment you would have would just be mediocre, because you are so used to it being happy ALL the time.
I think you can be truly happy, when you live embraced by the mystery... expireinceing the Ego's death... Embracing fear, and everything for what it is.
Happiness is relative. What makes one person happy doesnt always make another person happy. If the goal of humanity is to attempt to achieve absolute knowledge, then happiness is comparable to a consolation prize. Its amazing, but its intensity is relative to what you have to begin with.
okay, contrast.... we'll argue this..... take a red card, a not very red card, and put it against a green backdrop..... it will look more red... same with dark grey\white..... contrast is that by which we define abstracts....
Wwe're not talking about colors, we're talking about emotions. Happy = Joyus, feeling contentment or pleasure. If you're always feeling pleasure, then apparantly you're always going to be feeling pleasurable. If you have that feeling, then..i mean..that's just it! I can't really describe it, but even so, I don't knw why this is relevant to my first post..
hmm... i have always been happy. I mean i have my not so great days but life has been good. The thing is i still know the treasure it is and how to enjoy it with out going through bad experiances... I am still happy because...i guess i just choose to be and life has not been hard as of yet...
happiness is only a thought away of course though, we're human beings and we will be sad at times, but the mind is stronger than the body all you have to do is change your mind
it is hard to be happy when something REALLY bad happens. your mind can over power your body. When you get so sad it can effect your body and life and it is hard to turn a frown upside down...at least thats what i hear
ya cant be happy all the time life is a roller coaster of ups and downs, but you can always try to have more ups than downs
i find unhappiness to be letting the world effect you if you have control of yourself, you're set you can ONLY control your own mind and actions no one else's so, make yourself happy it's only a thought away
my teacher has really shared some amazing things with me, man he's a prophet among the modern world, ya dig?
ahhh. one of those teachers; they are really rare. the teachers that actually teach you about life, not just math and science..
thats wel depressing, you may not reach eternal happiness or whatever, but what is that anyway, you might as wle be happy with what you got and enjoy life, pick yourself up after something bad has happened. life is better than being dead (for most) so that should make you happy
