I get these a lot. The houses in my dream are usually large with complex labrinths all over them leading to wierd creepy rooms that haven't been inhabeted for a while. I even get the musty scent that these rooms have.

I used to get lots of these dreams, it would often be my own house or a house i am familiar with such as that of a family member. but i discover a new section of the house that i didnt know existed either by going through a secret hidden door or sometimes the new part of the house is just there, the feeling i have in my dream is always one of awe & curiosity. i like these dreams.

I've had house dreams where the halls and rooms lead to what feels like a totally different building. The house may connect to a hospital or a shopping center, for example.

wow yea i've never really thought about my house dreams as symbolic or anything.

but some of the most amazing and interesting dreams i've had have been in houses. for a while, when i was little, there would be a house that i kept going back to. it was different every time except that it was big and full of rooms and things and it always had the same atmosphere.

once, i went outside, and the sky was dark and glowing and there was a big green courtyard all around the house and there was this big glowing green fountain on a padio with benches in a circle around it and potted flowers in between and FROGS! everywhere! it was a big frog fountain. and my dad was there and i told him that i loved him. that was memorable because my dad and i have a very "disconnected" "relationship".

i wish i could remember more of my dreams, i know a lot of my dreams are intense though, i wake up a lot of the time feeling very disorientated. Do any of you ever have dreams that feel so real, and then when you wake up, you think you're really dreaming? that feeling is so weird, i get it all the time

I know what you mean man, sometimes i even feel my conciseness has shifted for a while after i wake up and its a bit uncomfortable.
I like that idea of house dreams being the storehouse of your mind. i had a weird one in a house recently and it makes it a bit clearer. there was this one room and when the door was opened it was HUGE but the house was quite small, it was weird, anyhow inside was this bed and it was almost as big as the room and it was full of people just sleeping in it, except for a few people on the end of the be who were quietly play fighting, this was at a party type thing, and they were all strangers, i was offered if i wanted a nap. it just got weirder and scary from that point......
