A friend of mine's daughter had something slipped into her drink at a local bar. We later found out it was called GHB Ruffey. If anybody could kick down any info or links regarding this drug it would be greaty appreciated.

    Thank You

There is a difference between GHB (gamma hydroxy-butyrate) and Ruffies (Flunitrazepam). They are both illegal in the US and are used as Date Rate tools. Even though flunitrazepam is illegal, it is still a schedule IV controlled substance. This is probably due to the fact that as dangerous as it is, it does have accepted medical value and a low risk of psychological dependence. However, since doctors know about how it can be used maliciously, they do not dispence it.

GHB is like everclear, but stronger. THe effects are similiar. THey are both depressants, and both used as "Date Rape" drugs. The biggest problem with GHB is that the dose is very difficult to measure, as potency is usually unknown. It has a sour taste to it, and is a nasty drug. Roofies are different, and are more popular daterape wise, as they may also cause amnesia.
