Dolls freak me out

Ever since I was a kid I have feared the little plastic creatures. The only thing worse then a doll is a doll with moving eyes. Yikes. Never knew why, never got over it. Unfortunately, I never bought my kids dolls to play with either.
They laugh and tease me all the time about it now, and when they are trying to be funny while they are in trouble, they say stuff like " maybe I wouldn't have done this if I would have had a doll to play with". Aren't they clever?

So there's my confession. Fear of dolls & warping my kids!!!

I know what you mean!! Dolls are creepy....oh, if you're up for thrills watch the movie "Dolls" then, it will definately scare you.

 

Oh I agree. Dolls are very freaky. I never used to play with them when I was little because I used to get so scared. And, like you, i hated the ones that moved their eyes, blinked or even worse... peed their pants. I remember someone gave me a doll baby when I was a little girl and at night I would get so freaked out by it that I would beat it with a broom.

 

i was so afraid of my barbies that i took them apart and burried the pieces in various spots in the back yard. they had such sharp pointy hard arms!! they could put your eye out should they decide to be pissed off about you giving them a haircut!

my sister had one of those talking/writing dolls. EEEEEK!!! GOD! i hated that fucking thing! talking is bad enough, but physical movement is too much.

 

oh don't even get me started.barbies never bothered me as a kid but those big plastic ones did.the ones with creepy eyes.i had this creepy looking porcelain doll with green eyes.it would always scare me.till one night when i couldn't take it so i through it in my closet.i think it's still there.don't know.i'd always imagine the head twisting and stuff.well after i seen that episode of "are you afraid of the dark"scarey shit.haha

 

lol I hate the ones that say stuff, like "mama" or " I neeeed you" it's just flippin' creepy

 

my daughter's father's mother has a HUGE doll collection, many of which are quite creepy. dolls don't always bother me, but some of them do, espescially big ones and ones that talk etc. well one christmas i was over there and i went to the bathroom and as i'm taking a pee this freaking life sized doll in the corner started to dance!!! it scared me soooo bad, good thing i was already on the toilet!

 

The worse doll I ever had was "Life size Barbie" when we stood side by side it was to my hip. That was soooo wrong.
I feared the little ones but had some faith that if they ever attacked me I had a chance. (since they were the size of my foot) Now what was I going to do??? all faith was gone, I kept that thing in my closet and never opened it. I had my sister go in if needed. I just knew that doll was going to grab me and pull me in at the first chance. Many sleepless nights over that evil thing.
