hmmm, live action aeon flux. with charlize theron. Looks interesting, but I don't think it'll be able to reproduce the animated movies, they were crazy weird. has anyone else seen the old ones? looking forward to the one coming out on dec 2?
what ive noticed is that alot more movies that are action/horror are pg13 this right off tells me the movie probably isnt going to be that good the original show had ALOT of sex and violence i was hoping with the movie they could explore the sexual element more(who doesnt want hot acresses fucking?)but realy it looks like they wont, also i remebr on ep. it was just aeon running around with a gun killing people like there was a sea of blood, also people be cut open with lasers, the fucked up modification done to people i think will be poorly shown if shown at all
I didn't know that it was based on anything more than the musings of an unoriginal screenplay writer looking to make a quick buck. The previews make the movie look terrible. I don't plan on seeing it.
Judging from the previews, I'd say that Ms. Theron has a pretty good chance of being nominated for an Oscar (best actress for North Country) and a Razzie (worst actress for Aeon Flux) in the same year. I don't plan on seeing it.
The trailer looked ok, but as soon as I saw the pg13 rating, my heart dropped. It won't be nearly as good as the old show. They should have just made a feature length animated movie and released it into the theatres and rated it R. Then it would have been good.
meh, it looks a little cheesey but I'll still see it I'm sure. Probably at our cheap theatre instead of the expensive one (a month or so after it comes out then, but for only 3-4 bucks). then again, I don't ever go to the expensive theatre so it says nothing about the film. it still looks like fun, even if it's cheesey.
I completely agree! however, it's coming out in 14A here, so who knows? of course, wedding crashers was supposed to be 18A and came out 14A.
Honestly, I think it's too bad that movies are being watered down to capture that all important to investors teen audience. When a movie finally comes along that's willing to have an R rating, it's so refreshing (see: Wedding Crashers).
uhh the cartoon is weird, too weird for me to have ever watched a full episode and Charlize Theron sucks for having the costume changed
I like the animated series better. Charlize doesn't even look like Aeon; and you're right Duck, she does suck for having the costume changed.
cause thats the whole point of the movie why do you tihnk it was bording? they cant show nudity on regular TV plus if you notice when its cartoon violence the rating isnt as high, there for i dont think there will be the mass amount of death distruction and insanity as there was in the cartoon, one ep some girl got her legs cut off and part of her spine removed and has special things that keep her back stright with trevor worked on. the parts where he works on her are very erotic, but they always cut a certin point so they wouldnt show anything hence the point of the movie to actuly see the whole thing and not have parts cut out.well atlest thats what i think. also the commercials look extremely stupied and nothing at all like what the show was at all, the plot is she is against trevor and the new soceity where, the show wasnt cut and dry is was a very gray show with alot of politics, trevor and aeons relationship was very bizar and so was ideals that they were both fighting for, also chung as far as i know didnt even work on the movie with them he just did character
I watched the old aeon flux too. I am not sure it would be as good as the cartoon if they have cut out a lot of thing things that made the cartoon. pg13 isn't really worth watching.....I am guessing it's a rental for me.
i've never seen the show, i saw the movie tonite, i loved it, i thought it was really good... the only part i didnt like is when they showed that lady with the orange hair up close, that looked really crappy right there.
It would be nice to see some reviews here from someone who has actually WATCHED my movie! Review it as a movie, not as what could be diferant about it! As for my costumes: Everyone remembers this one: But it was NOT the only one I ever wore, remember this one: That first costume is fine when it's DRAWN on, but really it's not that practical. My movie costume is much more like the second one, as seen here:
iv been meaning to watch this movie.... but every ones said it sucks!! way diffrent from the cartoon so iv been stalling... haha
