Teens Today Too Apathetic?

Do you find teens that go to your school or that you know are very apathetic about world issues? Because I do. I've never understood how people can feel so indifferent towards some of the things that go on in our world.

Good point, Satan (can I call you Satan?). However, it seems like most movements in history come from the youth. Today, not too many teens are interested in movements. I don't know, I've always associated adolescence with effing the system. Anyway, if one realizes it, I believe one should make an effort not to be. We're really all in control of the world...if we try to be. It may not always seem as such, but I believe that is true.

People are apathetic because htey are encouraged to be so. It suits the ruling class if people arent challenging the status quote and thinking about whats going on.

I mean, it's not just teens that are apathetic. I think the mass majority of this .. world(?) is apathetic, young and old. No one cares anymore. Personally, I care. I'm not apathetic, and I'm a teen.. But.. Anyhow, you get the idea.

yeh, I'd agree that's true, it's not only young people that are apathetic. In the last election inn britain it was the lwoest turn out in a general election ever.

 

Ahah.. I know. I hate it. I love our Civics course(despise the teacher though. haha) that we take in school. It really gets kids informed, and we've talked a lot about left wing politics and the green party, etc...

I think that a lot of the trouble is that these kids don't even pay attention, so when elections come, they either don't go to vote because they're lazy/don't care OR they just vote for one of the top two or three parties in the country seeing as everyone else is.

And despite what all the americans seem to think, our politics are almost as shitty as yours. The top two here are Progressive Conservative and the Liberal party.. and my god. They are the furthest thing from liberal that I've ever.... ahah. anyhow, I've carried on far too much.
