Apparently, your mother made a significant regression in the human race....

And Betsy Ross sewed the American flag, she didn't plant it.

I personally enjoy the company of ladies and enjoy the fact that they like to lead me around on a leash. Lead away baby!

That was possibly the most ignorant thing I have ever heard in my life. Women have not been inferior to men from the beginning- and please do not refer to any passages in the Bible, as that is far from factual (in my opinion). Many women such as Gertrude Elion and Ida Hyde have made significant contributions to the medical field. And many women, such as Rosa Parks, made significant advanced in the civil rights movement. And Mother Theresa was one of the greatest humanitarians of all time. These are just a few of the more famous women that I can think of off the top of my head. Women have been treated as the weaker sex for a very long time, but that is actually far from the truth. Many women's bodies have become conditioned to be weaker over the centuries due to this. Sojourner Truth wrote an excellent piece on this -"Ain't I a Woman?" In this she refers to the fact that she, as a slave, worked just as hard as men, alongside them in the fields, yet white women were said to be so "delicate." Physically they both are women, so it is not that women are biologically weaker, this is just how they have been conditioned. I suggest you do some research in this field- I would be happy to assist you.

If you think about it , not as a man, but just as a mere spectator of what is going on when a man sees a woman , then you will see that our attraction to women is like a male chimpanzee's attraction to a female one, or of a male bug to a female one.

The truth is that, their hips and their butts or any other body part, like their face is only "sexy" or only "beautiful" because your mind releases some chemicals such as dopamine in your brain when ever you see her. In reality, your attraction to a woman has nothing to do with the woman, it has to do with your brain releasing some chemicals.

Our attachment to the experience of these chemicals on certain receptors in our brain is so powerful that we actually can become slaves to it.

One simple example is drugs... a drug addict is not attached to drugs, he is attached to the pleasure center activation in his brain. The same way, a videogamer, an athlete, a daredevil, a scientist, a doctor... a biochemist... and any person any where in this world= all of us are actually attracted not to our professions, but to our pleasure centers.

I am attached to coming here on to this forum now, but in reality , I think i am attached to coming here into this forum and discussing online, but in reality i am only attached to the pleasure center of my brain, my own mental conditioning.

So, basically the point is that, all these things are mental conditionings and you are attached to them... it has nothing to do with anything else other than your body.

Some are good, like your attachment to helping save lives in you are a doctor.
Some are downright bad for you : like drugs or video game addictions.

So, the point is, if you feel that women are sexy, it ahs nothing to do with the women, but it has something to do with the feeling that you get when you think that its true.

well i guess it depends on what your talking about, for example men naturally have more muscle than women making them technically (please dont hit me) but women because of their not having as much muscle mass as men gives them much more flexability, hence why women have an easier time with gymnastics and stuff. Plus psychologically i think men might naturally be more assertive than women

It's interesting that you should make this comment because many feminists find comfort in the fables of "primitive" societies and documents of questionable factuality from western society's past to construct what I believe is an overly optimistic image of the strengths and virtues of women. The other day I was watching a program about women in the Bible and how there are examples of strong women, such as Deborah, for example--should we ignore references to her, too? Or is that different, because it fits your agenda?

Well seeing as I am not a Christian, I do not believe in the Bible. So, that is why I don't see the Bible as a factual argument. I'm not looking to get into a debate about religion here, simply stating why I made that comment- notice I said "in my opinion"

well, from the standpoint that the bible is a cultural record of actions and attitudes on an amazing multitude of subjects, as well as in some cases a fairly reliable record of politics and war, reading of another culture's attitudes towards women and their actions can be very interesting. strong women in the bible and the study of how these female archetypes affect our current attitudes towards women is an extremely relevant field of study. try not to jus think of the bible as just a religious document, rather, as a cultural statement that profoundly influences millions worldwide, including yourself.

Well, what you said was that the other person shouldn't use the Bible to justify that women are inferior, and I replied that feminists also use ancient texts of questionable factuality in order to present over-idealized notions of femininity. That's about it. I never said that I wanted to debate the Bible or religion.

you're right, jiimaan. you can't use one religio-historical text or practice as an excuse to sublimate women nor another to elevate them. study them and their effects, but they're no replacement for dealing with current times and ethics.
