Ever see a scene in a movie that you wish you hadn't seen? I really could have done without ever seeing a man being skinned alive and having his skin cut so neatly it looked like a mask when it was done in Dagon. I consciously tried to forget that for a long time. Didn't work obviously. Still, if I could go back and erase that, I would.
I've seen scenes from movies I get so nausous I could literly throw up because the scene is so gruesome. That is something I can do without. I can't stomach Fear Factor. The moment I turn it on I want to spit. yuck....
it was cool in saw 2 when he pushed her into needles.....and when the guy cut the skin off the back of his neck.
hey marc, i love your new sig!! oh and rider, i don't think i ever have.. i'll let you know if i remember one though
I went and saw the movie Saw 2, was really quite good with all of the blood and guts. (cant help it, I love those movies) the bug eating on fear factor makes my stomach a little sick at times.
What is happening to the director at that very moment he thinks "Hey now there's a good idea. Lets skin him/or her alive." Do you think the director is an angry person or holds grudges? (not to get off topic)
hmm? very good question peanuts? what does inspire a writer to write the things they write. or a director to direct the things they direct?
How about that scene from Silence of The Lambs? That movie left me with some bad images....Like this one!
Some horror scenes in different movies I would never of imagined possible. I never really got into Horror movies. Every time I watch them my anxiety kicks in and I'm afriad to be left alone in a dark room. My hearts pumping now just thinking about it. I'm also a wimp though. I remember listing to The Wizard of Oz when I was a little girl on my record player and that just about killed me, with the lights on .
it was cool when she fell into the needles, man that would have hurt like a bitch. Towards the end of the movie when amanda and daniel were face to face with the guy who cut the skin off the back of his neck, my phone starts to vibrate... i must have jumped three feet out of my freakin seat. lol
when you said skin cut off, i thought you were talking about the scene in the Robin Hood movie at the beginning where the guy gets skinned alive. At least thats what it seemed like when i was little, i can still picture the guy holding the flap of skin after he cuts it off :&
It's funny that the scene bothered be so much. I wasn't really upset by it as I was utterly grossed out. It's weird though, because I've seen things that I consider more gross and more violent, but that struck me for some reason. I love horror movies and the amount of gore doesn't matter, as long as it's well done. Although some movies are great for when you just want to see shameless filth, i.e. The Evil Dead. Good times, good times...
Sometimes, that's the best way to move the story forward. I don't mind gore or violence too much. I don't especially like it though. But, some movies are more effective than others when it comes to disturbing scenes. Man on Fire was great at that. It was brutal. Is it me or are there more movies with torture scenes these days?
the first 10 minutes of Saving Private Ryan. Have only seen 10 minutes of it, because I spent the of the movie puking and bawling in the bathroom. I don't allow me to watch "real war" movies anymore... the REAL factor upsets me too badly.
Um you know that scene in that movie about the ship that sunk? Where that guy from the Beach and the girl from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind are on the front of the ship and he holds her arms out and she's all "I'm flying" and crap? I could do without having seen that.
