I read the first paragraph. Waste of time. What a worthless piece. It said something about how voters will vote for the murder of more palastiniens. Well if you vote for Kerry you vote for the murder of Isrelies. Is that better?
*shakes head* Anyhoo, as I may have said before, I'm rather split over this issue. Ideologically, I'm probably closest aligned with the Greens. But when I look at reality, it's pretty much impossible to break the duopoly that the Democrats and Republicans hold, unless a third party is someday led by an amazingly charasmatic demogogue. And even were that two-party grip broken, I believe that you overestimate the support that parties like the Greens and Libertarians would gain. The left in America is rather split up and not very big, and I doubt that, given America's current demographics at any rate, that the left would gain a much larger foothold. I wish it weren't so, but that's how I see it. Maybe it's because I live in the conservative Midwest.
Interesting insight. And rather scary because it is the reality of things. I believe we need a viable third party, however, Nader/Greens/Libertarians are NOT a viable third party, yet. Hopefully, someone will emerge in the future who could be a third party candidate and actually make a strong run for the White House. Sorry, Ellis. I don't know who wrote it......and it was sent anonymously?
Hell, I'd settle for a SECOND PARTY at this point. The Reps and Dems are just the left and right wings of the "Corporate Party". We really need a better choice than Coke vs. Pepsi. It wasn't sent anonmyously (a friend sent it), but she doesn't know who wrote it either....
