Hello everyone, I have returned from the war on "Turr," Been a while, just a little rant; gas prices in Iraq was only 9-12 cents a liter in some places, Afghanistan only 11 cents a liter. Before I left here, gas was 1.50 a gallon, I came back it has shot up to around 3.00. Exxon has set records for profits, (along with BP), thank god republicans don't like bush any more. Record disapproval ratings. Anyways that about it.

"The Iraqi Finance Ministry puts the total cost of subsidized fuel, a figure that includes direct subsidy costs as well as gas purchased to replace smuggling losses, at $6.9 billion, a staggering 28% of the country's projected GDP in 2005."

Sure let's subsidize Iraq oil (lord knows they haven't got any!), by fleecing Americans!

W/B drew. Glad you made it in one piece.

Now will you please tell everyone how it really is there and why not provide some photos too?

This is your chance to express that freedom of speech that you've been defending, unless you're still under military restrictions. If so what EXACTLY are those restrictions.

Lord knows the Taliban were about to muzzle all our freedoms, and you've saved the hip forums from Osama's wrath. ;0)

Well Afghanistan is not as bad as Iraq, were acctually there to help people. (atleast my unit was) We did convoys giving school supplies to the local children, and convoys with the UN for delivering food to the locals. Honestly the Afghans hate the terrorist groups because it got in the way of foreign Aid efforts. While over there though I got shot at and rocketed, but I'm all good, a little crazier in the head, but still sane. Everyone is involved in the afghan effort though, I also worked with ISAF, which has british, canadian, french, romainian, and spanish soldiers.

Iraq on the other hand is a disaster. The locals there have no understanding of what is going on (not that the US has givin anyone an indication of what is going on or what is going to happen.) Atleast the afghans know we're there to help them. Basically in a nutshell, I found out the hard way that Halliburton runs about everything in the AOR. (Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan, etc) They have gotten smarter though, they hire civilians for their security, instead of putting troops in their bloody money making oil schemes. Its pretty sad what they do though.. Pictures will be up soon after I sort through them.
