I just watched it. It's a really good movie about cannibals and eating the flesh of another to become more powerful. It takes itself pretty lightly, and takes place in the 1800's. Anyone seen it?
Yes, I saw it broadcast once but didn't really watch 100% of it. I enjoyed it, though. I like that Civil War period motif, and the whole Pacific Northwest setting was really cool. I'd like to watch it again fully. I think it was supposed to be campy, kind of a black comedy. -Jeffrey
That was fucked up! I saw it when i was little, and my mom bought the sound track. I was listening to it with the lights out with my friend who was sleeping over, and we were reading a scary stroy. We wanted to turn the music off, but we were afraid to cross the room to get to the radio. Creepy soundtrack.
Ooops, I had already responded to this (old) thread. Oh well, anyway, since that reply, I bought the DVD and watched it, and yeah, I stand by my statement. That was a kickass cool movie! -Jeffrey
I LOVE that movie! Robert Carlyle is magnificent (as always) as Colqhoun. It always trips me out that it was directed by a female. Being so violent and all, I mean... I haven't seen that movie in a while. Guess it's time I got off my ass and rented it again.
Oh hell yes, i saw it a few years ago. Great flick. I'm glad you brought it up, I am gonna put it in my netflix list.
