Those pieces under the headies section are some of the most amazing pieces I have EVER seen. I like the panda one.

Yeah I think that shit would just sit on a shelf and look nice. I would dust it off everyday to keep it shiny. I would only smoke out of it on special occasions and with VERY close friends.

 

a friend of mine made a panda pipe in ceramics...it was a panda tied to a bambo tree or something...but it worked.

While interesting looking, the first two pipes are not difficult to make, or have any techniques (reversals, wig-wags,etc) that make them particularly impressive, or deserving of their price. I could get them blown for at most $200 each.

The third one, the bong, is actually priced reasonable. Go check around online to see the prices of other worked tubes. No, I'm not talking about cheap fumed bongs, I'm talking about bongs with actual worked sections. Not only that, but it's gong (converted, but still a gong) with a diffuser, and very nice worked bowls. In addition, there is TONS of dichro, and it looks as if the base glass is cobalt.

You may not want to spend $450 on it, but that's a VERY reasonable price considering how much it's worked. Find me another tube anywhere near the same for anywhere near the cost online.

this is one of the few glass bongs I actually like the look of. $450 is way to much to spend on something I WILL break within 6 months though

You could not get anything by Clinton Roman for anywhere near $200. I appreciate that they might not be your cup of tea, but they are as reasonably priced as the waterpipe.

There is nowhere that you could possibly find these less expensive.

 

What about mike fro, marble slinger, jason lee, JP, alex casey, royal/soreal, bearclaw, eugene glass art, there are TONS of blowers that do work 10 times better than that and don't charge such a ridiculous amount of money for it. Exactly what justifies the high cost, would you say? Just because of the name? At least other pieces from well known blowers that go for a premium price have PREMIUM work.

That bong is amazing and well worth the price though, I'm with you on that, bud the other two seem like a rip to me.

 

Ask any of those blowers what they think. There isn't one of them that would agree with your statements about those pieces. Once again, I understand that you don't like them, but that does not make them ripoffs. I will gladly buy all of the work from any blower 10 times better than Clinton for considerably less than he charges. It just doesn't exist.
