does anyone have some nice ideas for christmas presents?, I don't have much money so,I'll have to make them: )
i'm crocheting scarves and coasters.. and trying to learn how to make caps and arm warmers too... i was thinking about decoupage, or collage, on bottles and glasses and boxes too. the only problem is you do have to pay some money for supplies... just gotta look for bargains. some other ideas... make picture frames, just a huge collage from magazine pictures, draw or paint something, (a picture, or an object). ummm... there have been some things through this forum that ppl have done... just take a look around
I've always liked the idea of taking plastic spoons, melt chocolate(baking chocolate, chocolate chips, or that chocolate they sell in craft sections so that you can melt and pour your own chocolate) and mix it with hot chocolate powder, dip the spoons into the mixture, and then allow the spoons to cool/dry on wax paper, wrap in cellophane/plastic wrap, and voila! Lovely hot chocolate spoons! Add some candy canes and put everything in a nice coffee mug, a groovy little present! The receiver can then warm up some milk and add a spoon and stir for some gooooood hot chocolate!
I'm makin' some sweet ass coats for my families dogs... it's just hard figurin out the right style for the dogs, because i don't really know their personalitys or even what my fam would like... but i'm gettin my ma to call my granny because she'll know what they'll like more than we do.
That's a cool idea--I think I saw something like that on tv but never thought to give it as a gift--neato
I'm making some of my gifts....I'm trying anyhow....with a new baby it's a little hard to find time to get everything done, lol! I don't know how phunkyfresh does it! I'm crocheting a granny square quilt for my mom and I'm going to make a quilt for my omi and opi and an afghan for my mom-in-law. And there's these cool little "dish towel dresses" that I'm making for my hubby's grandparents and my dad-in-law. And I'm sewing some camo PJ pants for my bro in law out of this awsome warm fuzzy fabric. Can't remember what it's called. moondream-that's an awsome idea! I've never heard of that before. I don't know what else I'm going to do......there's still a bunch more people, and I don't even know if I'm going to have time for that!
