Korn (especially Issues), the only souvenir from my short foray into nu-metal when I was first starting to explore the depths of extreme music. All the gay shit like eurodance, happy hardcore, disco. And, um, Robbie Williams. Also some nazi or 'rather patriottical' BM bands like Falkenbach, Burzum, newer Graveland, Forefather...
ehm, I don't know.. maybe some czech and slovak punk bands.. Not that many people think I'm into punk
There's a lot of shit I like thats sort of not in my typical genres... I really like System of a Down. I don't know why, because I'm not into heavy metal at all. I think they just have a very unique style that a lot of metal bands don't have- they're exceptionally hard and fast- but also clever and at times even musically interesting. I also really like bluegrass. Something about the sound of a banjo just makes me really happy.
Perhaps Hillbilly music, I like the Carter Family. I also like Outlaw Country music of the 70's and Bluegrass.
Bach and Zappa - arguably two of the greatest composers in history, and with many similarities: both were outrageously innovative for their time, both were adept at weaving many different musical styles into a seamless whole, both produced music that is complex, cerebral, and many-layered. I also love gospel, hymns and choral music; the close harmonies and quirky rhythms of Bulgarian folk music; and the vibrant polyphanies from the Republic of Georgia (the former Soviet Republic, not the former Confederate State).
I bake bread to Air Supply. I can sing long with Iron Maiden on the radio. This freaks out my almost 14 y/o son. I know most Ozzy from the Randy Rhoades and Sabbath years. I once saw PIL...opening for INXS.
oh let me see.. i think skid row rock! haha nobody knows that.. hmm who else.. Hootie & the Blowfish have some good songs, the early stuff from Robbie Williams and Sonata Arctica are quite good.. there are some more but that's too embarrassing lol
