helped my mom plant a fall garden. We have beautiful red and yellow mums. They remind me of fall's bright beautiful colors. we also have pansy's too. i was just so happy working in the garden. I got to get all dirty! Does anyone else love the smell of the rich earth as much as i do? :)

oh, of course! i *love* digging in the dirt & looking after the plants...it helps me feel connected. my favorite things to grow are herbs, but we have a small veggie garden as well! right now we are growing collard greens, but are planting spring crops like sugar snap peas & carrots. i live in the deep south, so we have a pretty mild winter. some of my tomatoes are even still going!!!

    have fun in the dirt!

well, this time of year, it sounds better than it looks! ;)
our summers are BRUTAL here & by august everything looks sooo sad & tired! also, we spent 3wks out west this summer so our garden was very over-run with weeds when we returned. we're still trying to clean up!!!

it's amazing right now in sacramento california, all of my bulbs are blooming really late this year. it's still like 80% here in the afternoons, people still wearing shorts. i've been working in my yards and planting like crazy. love the earth, love to plant

i love the Earth & the plants as well but i think these warm temps are wierd & scary! can we say 'global warming'???? it's amazing that certain people (politicians for example) are still claiming that it doesn't exist! hate to be a drag...but if we don't change our ways, there's much more to come - more heat waves with record high temps & more violent hurricanes! :(

well, sweetie, you just stay educated b/c knowledge really is POWER! it's *awesome* to see someone your age taking an interest in caring for the plants & animals of Mother Earth. She needs all the help she can get.
we can first change ourselves & then lead by example. never be afraid to speak out & stand up for what you believe in. it hasn't been THAT long since i was your age & i can still remember all the pressure to conform. i wish that i had taken a stand more back then. you just keep doing what you're doing....& always listen to the plants :)
they've been here a LOT longer than us!

keep working in the flowers and gardens, there's nothing like digging in the dirt and seeing the end result of the things u've grown.
