Can John Lennon's dream ever come true?

that really is the only thing that we can do. express our ideas and beliefs and hope that others are inspired.

 

john lennon's "imagine" to me is one of the all time great songs. i remember the day that john was killed in 1980, i couldn't believe it, it was such a sad day, alot like the day that john kennedy was killed, i remember that too. i was 15 years old. john lennon contributed so much to the peace movement of the 70's and i felt that the peacemovent died the day that john died. but i have faith in the youth of today because of this board and all the young people i see at peace rallys/protests. it is alot the same today as in the 60's and 70's we are invested in a total war against humanity/womanity, just like during the viet nam war, our govenment in the usa is run by a vain and insane president,just like it was when nixon was president, i see more and more protesting going on everyday, especially here in the capitol of california. i go to protests nearly every week at the capitol building.

if a song inspires someone it hurts nothing. and Imagine inspired people.

 

but you say try Lenin, should we remember what Lenin actually did? because I do not think that was a positive outcome for peace on earth, Lennon inspired more peace for people then Lenin did, Lenin created a lot of hate in the world, towards his own people and hate from the outside Creativity such as songs are more inspiration then killing for a cause in teh name of peace

I was watching George Carlin last night and he said something about how people aren't ready for total peace, and how we kill those who try to present this dream, e.g. John Lennon, Ghandi........

 

i think that it is more that the world isn't ready for peace but i believe time's are changing

 

as long as ppl love power, and as long as thouse ppl are paranoid and scare of loosing what they love. there will be no total peace, and be war somewere.thats the sad truth i belive.
and about religion, well ppl always want answers, and religion is a great way to get touse answers that sience cant give.

 

the only way there will never be any countries or any religion is if every single human being on earth is killed.
Humans are violent, selfish, stupid, and mean.
(But that's what makes us great)

The only way to have world peace is if humans don't exists.

 

how would there be peace then? Animals constantly kill each other. Nature is far more violent than humans.

John Lennon's is a captilist to the core, he had so much money and behaved like a capatilist... this song is often misunderstood as some kind of communist message

What he means, is we will realize ONENESS, the one consciousness that unities us all, it is US... there are many elements and mystical messages in John's music, and he experimented with buddhism and LSD, as well as meditation and other things off and on...
"You say you want a revolution, better free your mind instead"


That is what he is suggesting realize ONENESS. That is what all the religion talk about, but it is beyond them all, thus no religion.

With this realization it will fall into place, and HEAVEN will be on earth... and there will be no hell.

Not everybody agrees with this, but Im sure it is true. John Lennon is a joker...

the funny part is, that this dream is already true... we are already one, so it is inenvitable that we all will realize... a collective nirvana beyond religion.

i dont see how that discredits what i said. But i agree. The notion of peace is a HUMAN idea. Without humans there is no concept of peace existing. Peace can ONLY happen if humans exist

 

I bet John would be very unhappy about the situation the world is in today.
