Not sure if this related to bittorrent or not. I downloaded an mpg file completely and tried to open it. It is most definately an mpg file, but none of my media players will play it (window media, realplayer, divx, quicktime0. any answers out there?
youll probly need some codecs so your players can read it. try this, its a pack of many codecs http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm
they all automatically search for codecs. none could be found. besides mpgs are pretty basic file extensions.
I tell people this all the time, but they just don't seem to believe me. Oh well I'll try again. Use VLC Media Player aka VideoLAN. It will play most video files without the need for installing additional codecs. I very rarely run into a file that VLC will not play. It is also free. You can find it here. http://videolan.org
