My local news did a story on the Denver issue, everyone must know about now... I mean its getting a buttload of coverage. Anyhow, I just wanted to share it to you.. goto http://www.wnem.com/Global/story.asp?S=4043024 to read about it. One thing I wanted to point out from it that kinda pissed me off was them saying
I can assure you hardly ANY money ever goes to "organized crime"... otherwise, how would the dealer benefit?

Yeah the only organized crime involved with it 99% of the time is...BUYING MORE WEED TO SELL...

Christ I love the way they word those things so they're correct, but incorrect.

I hate stereotypical people who think all potsmokers are lazy dumbasses. My perents never said nothing about that to me until they found out I toked, wich was 2 years after I started, and right after that they came with all that "why would u care your an addict" or "You cant graduate cuz your addicted".
pfft, and they wonder why I havnt listened to a word they have said in the past few months.

" ``It's a deceptive and deceitful campaign,'' said Councilman Charlie Brown, who spent a recent Saturday night ripping the signs down from parks and medians - where they are banned - and throwing them in the garbage. ``Domestic violence is not on the ballot. Alcohol is not on the ballot. Marijuana is on the ballot.'' "

That Charlie Brown guy sounds like an asshole. HAH.

Doesnt it suck? The people voted for what they wanted. What they wanted for THERE city, yet they were ignored , told they were wrong, shitted on.

seriously the people voted and now they're acting like the natural thing to do is find ways to make pot illegal still.

its like no one even suggests the idea of giving the people what they want.

The important thing about the whole situation in Denver is that progress is actually being made, no matter how miniscule that progress happens to be. The fact that weed is being acknowledged as being relatively safe means that it is that much closer to being nationally decriminalized. It's just unfortunate that Colorado officials aren't respecting the votes of their citizens.
