how far have you gone hitch hiking ?

Just wondering how far everyone has ever gone while hitch hiking? Me personally, I hitch hiked from North carolina to Florida a few times.

hitchhiking isn't illegal...

i've hitch hiked through parts of north dakota...

The only time I've hitch hiked was during a trip to Japan this past summer. I hitch hiked through a portion of the country. People were so nice there, they took care of hitchers. Even on a desolate mountain road, the second or third car would pick you up everytime. Fantastic country.

 

I've always wanted to hitch across the USA....thought about doing it last Summer when I was leaving AZ coming back to NH but my ex-husband and a few people on this site convinced me that it wasn't a good idea.

 

Never...... it is illegal in some states. I know in Mi it is.

 

Good thing. It's not really safe for a single female to hitchhike, unfortunately. But, if you really wanted to, you should bring a friend with you.

That just means you can't hitchhike when cops are around.
