pretty stoned now, so here's my paradox theory

Heart is racing, body feels num and different, so this the perfect time to discuss the um......it was ummmm...ah Paradox...thingy.....THEORY!!

Anyways if a person see's himself in the past he'd cancel his existence out. But than his parents and than parents parents would be wiped out so he couldn't ever be born. But since all humans come from a single gene (so it's said) than all humans would cancel out. Than Earth would cancel out so there's wouldn't be no Earth for humans to evolve. Than the sun would cancel out so its star matter couldn't form Earth.

And since everything comes from something, eventually it'd go like that until the universe and time is undone. So there you have it, a paradox would destroy the universe, it'd make it to where it never existed.

 

why dopes everything cancel out? why would simply seeing someone cancel it out, and subsequently cancel their parents? and the earth? and the sun?

the paradox theory of time travel involves someone going back in time and killing their mother. does this have relevance to that paradox or is it something totally unrelated?

 

the cancelations make no sense

 

It's kinda like a bug in a computer that shuts down the program your using. It's not meant to happen, but it does and the universe doesn't know how to handle it. And it kinda causes a crash like would happen in a program in a computer program, but in real life.

 

why are you personifying the universe?

 

and why are you analogising yourself as both a virus and a running program? (when going back in time ie)

 

I dunno, I got the whole paradox thing from back to the future, and I just tried to think of how it would happen.

 

Dude, it would have no effect on the universe, or anything. You can't just destroy the earth buy seeing yourself in the past. It can only effect things that YOU can change. Such as killing your mother or father etc. That only brings your extistence into a paradox, not the whole world.

 

unless the whole world's existance was dependant on your mother or maybe even yourself
