Morbidity warning. What would you say to someone who is suicidal?

Hey everyone, im always thinking about what I would say to someone bent on killing themselves.

I would probablly mention that theyre going to die anyway, so why not use the blink of an eye they've got left to at least see if its possible to be happy
wgat would you say?

 

there are an ass load of people who would do anything to live longer, thousands, no matter how bad he thinks he has it, there are people who have it worse, someone dies every 10 seconds of aids, every 15 seconds of teburculosis (average of course) these people would give anything to have it as good as {person} has it, and they're willing to give it all away....


and what if they aren't successful? what if they just horribly disfigure themself? how will they feel then



and lastly, it's just damn stupid to kill yourself....

 

it's no fun when you're the first to post, cuz than my posts never make any sense or explain just a part of what you've already said.

Although, some try on the spur of the moment as a reaction to a action and most fail, but I do understand that part of the issue.

 

I'd tell them to go for it, and give them a list of reasons why they should.

i dont even know anymore man.. i just got done readin g a bunch of journals by some vegan anorexics, and its sso fucking depressing. the good caring people who try not to hurt things draw the WORST imaginable card. i feel for them big time, this world fucked them over and the animals and they wanted to HELP, and they got drawn into some SICK SICK stuff by the material corporations of this world so they can make A DOLLER. these realities, totally destroyed and in a deep deep hole, so some asshole empty suit can lead an empty life filled with material corrupt greedy CRAP. AKFJAFKJAFAFJ, makes me wanna kill some corporate mother fuckers.
then imagine, how many people actually deal with that sickness and TERRIBLE cycle, how many realities actually exist that are THAT lost and sad and filled with suffering.. and also the MANY realities of depression, and anxiety.. and feeling lost, not having a purpose. having nothing making you individual or unique, and not feeling your alive for a reason.

maybe there ARE just too many humans, and maybe suicide IS the answer to some of the problems the world and these folks world face. a million people do it a year, one every 30 seconds, perhaps that happens for a reason???? stop havin so many stupid little fuckin kids so you can fill the void in your stupid little lives, and maybe the world will be happier and better for it, and we wont have to deal with all the bullshit we do.

thats probly not what id tell someone if they were thinkin bout it though and told it to me, id deal with it on an individual basis.

 

The world really has gone that far to shit, but I wouldn't say that to someone either. I want to live.

Theres this site though I once found from england about a society that promotes mass suicide of individuals as a solution to todays crisis, couldnt find it. If anyone knows the url let me know. Its a good site

Also if you can find any suicide forums that aren't regulated by do-good support group types, you can read some pretty intense stuff. You will really know pain.

I don't think that someone who is about to kill him/herself has the power to see the suffering of others. Then he/she would not kill him/herself. Personally, I'd try to stop them, with violence if necassary, and call for a psychological emergency.

i dont think anyone who is really on the verge of suicide would call a hotline...only people who use suicide as attention would...

this thread reminds me of the movie, Heathers....what a great flick...

 

i'd ask them why they wanted to kill themselves......
