i am supposed to write an essay on the water conservation of terrestrial animals (those that dont live in aquatic environments) and i was wondering if anyone knew how they conserve water in their bodies.

  4. desert turtoises by far some of the most effective desert animals conserve water by storing it in their bladders, certain varieties of rodents may never drink water in their lives, but will get all their fluid from the foods they eat, there is a variety of toad in australia that stores all the water it needs for 6 mos in a sac off it's esophogus, it then hibernates

look at desert creatures, they're a wealth of info...
