just the weed?

Something I just dont get is that everytime i talk to a stoner from america they tell me that when they roll a joint they only put weed in it. Man! thats got to suck! Is this true? I'm from holland and we cut open a sigaret first and use about 3/4 of the tabacco and then put in the weed. After all, your brain does not need that much THC to get stoned. So, is this really true or are you guys just fooling me around? Weeds illigal in the usa so why spend all of it in only one joint?

yes it is. we do it that way in Canada too.

1) only 17% of the population of Canada smoke tobacco, while 34% smoke marijuanna at least occationally. Ergo not every body who smokes weed smokes tobacco

2) Tobacco, is highly addictive, causes birth defects, and is generally more harmful then weed.

3) It effects the flavor, the high, and the over all feel of the smoke.

 

Yes, we put nothing but weed in joints. But tell me this, have you ever heard of a blunt? If not, a blunt is created by emptying the tobacco out of a cigar and filling it with weed, sometimes resulting in more than 7g rolled into one blunt, which is smoked in one session. Don't tell me you've never had a blunt!?!?!?

the main, primary, principle, most important factor? culture. habit.

every excuse for either putting tobacco in or not, comes down to our or their justification for our or their culture.

i dont understand how they can smoke so much weed at one time either!

 

Tobacco is a lot more harmful than weed. Oh, and mixed cigarettes make me vomit for some reason.

 

I am from the UK and do exactly the same as you Icecube, even if I smoke a weed pipe I put a bit of tobacco in it. I also put flavoured tobacco in my beautiful hubbly bubbly shisha pipe that I brought back from Egypt. Dont think I have ever had a joint with nothing but weed in it.

 

I've consumed weed in almost every way you could think of. Its just that, a joint, just made of weed seems so massive to me. The taste of tabaco doesnt bother me, but that could just be me. just try a tiny bit in a sigaret for a change, its a whole new experience and yes, ive smoked a blunt.........walked home backwards that night

 

I always thought that the reason people put tobacco in their joints in europe was because hash is alot more common because it has a greater weight to profit ratio for smugglers.
Y'see in the US we got two wide open borders for our weed-exporting neighbors Canada and Mexico to operate. Ergo, weed is a lot more common.
In europe you got all sorts of funky borders, with the threat of funky custom inspections. If you were a smuggler you could either take say, a ton of MJ and make a good profit, or a ton of hash and make millions.
And since you can't smoke hash in a joint unless you add some other smoking herb tobacco goes in.

 

We don't know moderation in America. We drive huge, fuel wasting vehicles, eat fatty foods and lots of it, binge drinking is more normal than casual drinking, and we smoke a shitload of weed. I think it's cultural as well.

Perfectly put man, americans were just wastefull, we comsume soemtign liek 60% of the worlds food...and were 1 country...

 

Eugene, not quite sure if that's correct, I asked a similar question in the UK forum a while ago, something along the lines of "where does the weed in England come from, home grown or brought in from Europe" All the reply's said that about 90% of weed bought in the UK will have been grown in the UK, so not sure about the border theory?

 

not all americans smoke their weed straight up.

Personally, I prefer mixing weed and tobacco into my joints and blunts. Some friends dont mind and some just weed. Also, last august when some friends of mine and I picked up some hash for our first week we ran dry of bud due to a recent arrest and instead of bud we put cig tobacco at the bottom of the bowl and the hash ontop.

 

Here in europe we may have borders but that dont slow us down one bit. when I go to the coffeeshop (5 min from my home) I get a fuckin menu. There's always at least 20 sorts of weed to chose from. The fact that its legal here has funny side effect.. ............

 

is your weed or hash in europe just that much more potent? i mean if you smoked it straight, would you be on your ass in 2 or 3 hits, cuz then it would make sense to me to mix it with tobacco.

but still, i think i smoke pretty decent weed, and i can smoke a whole joint of it no problem. i really don't see how there could be any weed that would mess me (or any other everyday smoker) up beyond belief in only a couple of hits.

maybe i'm just missing out.

 

go to amsterdam. there are more kinds of weeds and hash then you have had warm meals. the strongest weed we have is R.I.P. it has so much THC in it, its almost as strong as coke. now the goverment is says that maybe weed should become illigal again because of the strength of some of the weeds. was on the news a couple of weeks ago

 

yeah that's where i've mostly heard stories from. but is your everyday, everywhere weed that good too?

i guess if you live in amsterdam and can just go to the coffeeshop it is, but what about the folks in places like ireland or u.k (just examples that i think i've heard of) where sometimes they can only find hash?

and, if you smoke that awesome nug everyday, don't you get a tolerance to it.

 

Right now I smoke Thai. its a verry hard almost hash like kind of weed. gets you reaaaaaly mellow but isnt that strong. when I first started smoking it was all a sport. Smoking the strongest shit and all. After a while everyone gets tired of that, at least thats my experience. Its more about all the different kinds of effects that differnt kinds of weed have. I live about an hour from amsterdam but hey, everything is an hour from everything here. and even a village normal size village has a coffeeshop! I dont know about other places in europe. I've never seen a coffeeshop greece though

The weed I get here in the UK is strong. Much stronger than the stuff I have had in Wisconsin or florida or even Cancun. It is not as strong as the pure ass skunk that had me tripping my tits off it was so strong in Jamaica, and the stuff in Amsterdam is as strong as you want it. I do develop a tolerence to the stuff here in the UK quite quickly, but the stuff I had in Jamaica and amsterdam just had me floored all the damn time. Man I'v had some wicked awesome holidays, I am so fuckin lucky
