i dont know why he is so annoying. its not that he's talentless or completely uncool.. he's just a bit of both of those.

i think its becuase he's hailed by the media to be brilliant. and hes not brilliant. and everyone thinks he's soooooo great. im better than him. bstard. rich bstard.

Jamie Cullum is to Jazz what Charlotte Church is to Classical, what Busted are to Rock, what Scooter is to Hard House, what Darude are to Trance, what Ja Rule is to hip-hop, etc. etc.

All mass-produced commercial tripe and gross insults to their respective genres.

    I thank you.

jamie cullum is appearing on a ITV show next week called Movie Mania or something...where he katie mellua and someother people do cover versions of famous movie songs....hehe, just struck me, what sort of serious musician who wasent just a popularist pop artist would do that?

seriously tho, what kind of "jazz" musician would appear on a program like that?? miles davis? charlie parker maybe, prehaps polar bear doing the imperial march from star wars...?? i dont think so some how

People like you just love jazz being an obscure minority thing.
Bet you have specs, a pointy beard, black polo neck sweater, never smile.
Oh yeh, and Miles Davis appeared on Miami Vice once, does that lessen his greatness?
    You're sooooooooooooo square, I don't care though:p

Dead right, Saxy. It was called Ascenseur Pour L'echafaud [Lift to the Scaffold , and pretty cool it was too. Miles with mucho strings.
He also had an acting role in a movie called Dingo and once played a pimp in Miami Vice

    AND

he still was an uncomprimising legend.
Isn't that Spyder guy full of it??

you dont care?...stop posting then telling me how "square" i am

and yes i am full of it

and jazz isnt about a miniority thing...its about a talent thing...something which jamie doesnt have anything which makes him distinct

jeez for a hippie forum, there is a whole lot of anger and disrespect going around. music is supposed to bring people together, not start fights. i will admit that i dont approve of somebody making a picture like the one discussed in this topic though. just because you dont like his music doesn't mean you have to disrespect him. if you think about it jamie's music is pretty original. i always hear jazz snobs talking about how jazz doesnt get enough appreciation in todays world, and then when somebody brings jazz music into the spotlight they all ridicule it. sometimes i just don't understand people. keep it peaceful and keep your mind open.
