Is it true that the Ocala forest is flooded? I heard it should be "better" by january? Is the gathering still happening?

the ocala forest is a huge place, i am sure by the gathering time things should be just fine. Just A note tho, the ocala gathering has not been an actual rainbow gathering in some time, it is more of a party in the woods.

well......There are actual Rainbow People that go to these gatherings,
and there are tribes within the gathering that some other tribes
don't like, so they don't come to Ocala, and then say, Well this isn't
a reall Rainbow Event, when in fact it is....its just more passionate.

    I always have a good time.....sometimes

i was there in 04 and it most certainly was a rainbow gathering! awesome kitchens, wild ecstatic drummin', zuzuu'z, lovin herb shared by lovin' kids. Great vibes, with lot's and lot's of love and welcome homes! wonderful pines and saw palmetto's, Nic at night! what more does a rainbow mama need?

I grew up just outside the ONF and worked there in the Conservation Corps in the late 70s. The hurricanes seasons and fall rains overflow the ponds, lakes and sinks and turn the lowlands into marsh almost every year. Nothing to worry about.

Yeah...and there are many sites besides Buck-O Lake that an early seed camp
could maintain....a low profile....HA HA HA

So what about the Slab, I always have fun out there.....Alexander springs is sketcy
and Lake Mary is about tired of us, (thats why we should move every two weeks)

65-A is not much fun, and Shanti Pond (where the permit was last year) is
not viable either.....Big Scrub is a possibility.....but I'd like to see a Gathering
that was not on a road, near a road, or all about the road.....*you know*

The wonderful thing about being a Boomer, if there is such a wonder thing,
    is....gheesh whats that tigger song......
