some shit will happen before then and then some shit will happen about then and finally some more shit will go on after that. Somebody somewhere will write about it all and someone else will say he was a lying scumbag and generally there will be little agreement as to what happened even though most of you will have been through it all together. Life is generally like that...always has been and always will be. The deciding factor as to what you think happened will be due in large part to what part of the puzzle you were when it all went down. In general no one really agrees as to what will happen and very few people will agree as to what happened when it is all over. The past, present, and future are all subjective elements configured by our unique islands of perception. REALITY IS SUBJECTIVE AND WE DON'T EVEN AGREE ON THAT.
in twenty years there will still be people living here. there will still be rocks, trees and little furry creatures with big sharp teeth. there may or may not still be automobiles but only the very well off will be able to afford to drive them. not too many average joes will be taking out a 30 year morgage to by a fuel cell powered car after the first time someone lights up while fueling up and blows themselves into the next galixy. the corporatocracy, if it hasn't collapsed or has collapsed and limped back to life, will be wanting to burn coal again now that the oil really is getting expensive to extract what remains in the ground. on the bright side, photovoltaics ought to be cheep enough and effecient enough for everyone. like cars, very few people will own houses. the auto dependent housing being built today will have become the next generation of ghettos. and people living in cities won't be eating very well. sociological critical mass may or may not have been reached, that's really the hardest thing to predict and what will be happening when so much depends on it. the outcome of the current war between one or a small handful of the planet's most powerful nations wanting to continue to hold hostage all the people and resources of the rest of the planet, and the prospect of a fairly representational world government with the teeth to hold them in line is far from a certain done deal of an outcome and will also play a major influence in how things work out. the next 20 years will likely be in the sense of the ancient curse, "interesting times" indeed. i know what i'd like to see and it could happen. all we can be sure is a decreased roll for oil and an increasingly undeniable complex of manifestations of what is collectively called 'global warming'. but the worst of what we can still do something about will likely be over. i do look forward to witnessing some of the chainges that are going to take place though whether or not i survive the way in which they do is anybody's guess
20 years is a long time ......in ten , i dont see how there could still be a united states or a dollar bill .......id assume that 6 out of ten people will be dead in 10 years in twenty , idealy there wont be more than a few million people alive within the usa and less than a billion worldwide .......i wish it would happen faster .....humans dont realy need to be here ....the world will turn just as well without them .....
While we are on the topic of homes and land, here is one "vision" I've had for the longest time. Everytime I tell it to people they say "no way" but I'm telling you when overpopulation and a land shortage arrives, it will happen...... The US governement eventually will have to excavate all the bodies out of the cemeteries and use the land for building development. The same will happen with golf courses too but no bodies to worry about there! I also heard that in the netherlands it is common practice for bodies to be buried in ground or above ground for a certain period of time. Then they are excavated and creamated. Anybody know if this is true? My dutch grandparents just said it over Christmas dinner.
But will the overpopulation reach that point? The population has been soaring for years. eventuallly, it will peak out and crash suddenly. Like a science experiment in a culture dish - it grows and grows and grows and eventually suddently drops off. Lots of "reasons" could be found. Will it be a nuclear disaster? That is no longer as likely as it once seemed. Maybe a huge terrorist attack, or perhaps just some natural catastophy. Or maybe the governments of earth, with their ongoing programs of surveilance, invasion of privacy, and so on, will eventually put them in a position of being so hated and opposed (once again) by the people they were supposed to be serving, that the people will rise up in a giant revolt.
housing problems will be solved by having houses way up in the sky, and everybody would be driving flying cars, and have robot maids, and artifically intelligent appliances which we would be at peace with thats right, the jetsons was not just some childrens cartoon, but a prophecy of the near future
Closer to what is spoken in Jeremiah 50 and 51 and Rev. 18 (America is the Future Babylon spoken of in these chapters)
I think a lot of it is upto us. Upto us to spead the right ideas to enough people. We may not be able to avert natural catastrophies. But we can do something about the global loss of sight of the fact it is up to each of us to stay free.
has anyone seen SmartCard? in was in a Paste Dvd around october.... instead of money, people had SmartCards, that told them what to buy and where they were and basically controlled their lives. one guy has his stolen, and he doesn't know his own phone number or address. he loses his entire identity. there's also something about a chip, i don't know much about it, but soon i guess it's gonna be a normal thing for little school kids to have a chip surgically put into their bodies that they can't remove.... and then somewhere in the bible it talks about how that's the sign of the devil or someshit. my friends mom told me about it but i don't really remember. i don't like to make predictions because i don't believe in the concept of "future", but i know the government has to be overthrown. it's inevitable. if we let it destroy the planet, we really don't care about life. tvs have to be shut off, people have to start asking questions. the news has become like the beginning of a disaster movie, where it seems everything is going wrong. even the most spoonfed people will HAVE to suspect SOMETHING eventually. hopefully, in 20 years, the majority of people will wake themselves up. stop living in illusions. wow, this got me all pissed off....
Well that is the whole point. People gotta wake up, before it is too late. Here is another example. "Homeland security". In the wake of "9-11", we see all kinds of intrusions on freedom, all justified with the need to "prevent terrorism". Such intrusions would have never been allowed before, but since the attacks, people are less likely to object. What they are missing is that 9-11 and other such incidents are just to perfect an excuse for increased surveillence and spying on citizens by the government. In fact, too perfect. Possibly 9-11 was allowed to occur, or even arranged, by those who stood to gain from its effects, namely an American population scared into accepting more and more unconsituational limitations. It is something to think about, no?
i think that t.v.'s going to take over and everyone's going to be all high tech and people are going to try to be the best at everything even if it hurts someone else....i think that we will have more wars and the world's going to be horrible but i hope that maybe we will have peace and everyone can love one another and pot will be legal.....
do you think america in 20 years is going to invent a bunch of new munchies or will they bring back more corn flakes. personally i think they should make poptarts with better flavors like mango. but what do you think?
