Has anyone here heard of the darker part of the psychedelic trance? All these sharp sounds,very brutal and strong basslines just make me crazy and kick me in outer space.There are many Russian artists playing that kind of music as Penta,Kindzadza,Osom,Psykovsky and many more.Also there is one American performer I appreciate very much - Ocelot.So any dark psy trancers?

The hardest I have ever heard is from Germany. I first heard it on the John Peel show (my God, btw) They are called ''Brides Make Acid'' and managed to get it on vinyl (YES, woohoo.!) It's relentless and extremely hard n'banging stuff, just wish I could let you hear it, In all my years I've never heard anything like it, believe me.

well they are dark compared to the psytrance I listen to (etnica/quadra/hallucinogen etc). Let us know what the gig was like!
beh rinkadink not dark at all. he's still a nice producer though. rocking my dark-o-meter at the mo are.... Azax Syndrom, Grapes of Wrath, Shift, Ghreg on Earth, the last Penta CD, Scorb, Parasense (RIP Zolod), Deviant Species, Sensient is nice dark proggy kinda feel, Parvati Records, Ketuh and Doof Records is probably where you'll find the kind of thing you're after. Some Timecode releases also

Thank god the internet is full of free underground trance and ambient MP3's, sod buying anymore CD's from shops when there is so much top stuff out there to download, if you know where to look, nudge, nudge, wink, wink.

I have to agree with you on that....GOW are awesome, along with meteloids, some more industrial dark like X-Dream (Irritant) and PPS Project...... Dark Psy has done my head and Im currently taking a break from it....... Gotta love the old Goa.......
