well there are tons of things you can do, you can reduce the CO2 usage, such as stops driving as much if at all, do not fly, do not use as much electricity etc. Only try and buy eco friendly products, stop eating as much meat if you have to eat any! Recycle as much as you can, only use recyclable items i.e. not much plastic, and mainly learn to love the earth

flying is one of the worst things humans do that pollutes the planet, the fuel used to fly an aircraft is having a lasting effect on the planet, the amount of fuel used for one flight is incredible. we need to cut down on flights especially these cheap budget flights that have increased, we can't cut down on just cars and increase air travel

Actually, it's said that fuel burn per passenger on commercial airline flights is roughly comparable to what'd be burned if all the passengers drove that same distance, like three to a vehicle or so.

my point was that we don't have to fly to these places, as we do not have to drive to as many places either. And i read somewhere that is was a lot more fuel then if all passengers did drive by a huge amount, but i do not have the reference with me, but i know they now have links on some sites that say how much fuel is used on their flights

see it as a sport to consume as less as possible. fashion/make-up, this "need" for the "latest" (cd/computer/jeans/book/...) is just the biggest brainwash today. What do you REALLY need? The less we are attached to things, the better for nature, and: your mind will more free.... (things actually take something from you, u think you own them, but it's the other way round). I know many people who think for instance that we can change our evolution, by changing our habits: if you stop over using the cellphone, we'll devellop, in the long run, telepathy... And: there is evidance that our "written" culture (we read stories mostly, we write down what has to be remembered) has actually made our memory capacities less developped than in cultures where oral traditions are the only way....
Every little change of habit (and thought) in the everydaylife will have an impact.

Amen to that. It's so true the only thing we need is food shelter and water. Yest entertainment is nice but it's not all about that. Just sustain your life and find Entertainment in nature

I have a small communtiy recycling program. I collect glass bottles and jars and plastic 2 liter bottles that I use for either packaging for my organic bath products I make and my dad turn the 2 liters into cool spinners to hang from trees. I try to look at all of my house hold waste and say how could I use that again?

I'm a recycling and composting freak, I go a bit overboard sometimes (bringing home pop bottles from the movies etc)... I drive a hybrid... just need to make my home solar powered and I'm pretty much set!
