Hello all. I have decently long hair(ill post pics asap) and i really realllllllly want dreads. The problem: My parents dont like the idea. They dont like them at all. Its not the myths or anything, i explained all of that. they just dont like the look. what do you think.
why do they care? its not ganna effect how they look is it? haha no, so just say that its ur own style and look. u should be able to look the way u want to. the way u feel most comfortable in ya know. peace and good luck man!! ~~~
How old are you? I feel that when your younger its nice to respect what your parents like and dont as they are just looking out for you. But at about 18 you are stronger minded (not as strong minded as them at their age) and its time to make your own misstakes and decisions.
Im 16. I guess you could call this good news. Im just turning my hair clockwise like, all day. And when i dry it i just turn it clockwise. Im just going to keep going and going and as they slowly form, my parents might adjust...
Thanks MikeJH3. I did it for two hours last night(with dry hair). Then, took a shower this morning and dried it with a towel in a clockwise rub. I used a bar of soap to wash my hair. Am i doin it all right?
My parents are just so scared of th rep I'm gonna get from it and the shit other ppl will say. My mom says if I let it dread up she'll shave my head, but theres no way I would ever let her do that.
